@JeremyT I wouldn’t say it’s the number 1 criteria, being good looking is more important, but most women like a guy who is at least taller than them.
I pull hotties, and I'm just over 5'10. I had a buddy in college who couldn't have been more than 5'7, and somehow he always had hot girlfriends too. I think his secret was daddy money though, because he was quite the narcissist.

I follow statistics.
You have to be as tall as the stack of money in Tom Cruise's personal safe. You have to be as tall as a stack of 570 million one dollar bills.
Probably about 5’11 is the right height to become available to what we could define as societies contemporary standard of ‘hot’.
Why?
It’s well above average by many international standards and above it by US standards.
So if a guy is under 5’11, you’re saying girls don’t even look at him
It’s far less likely for you to be considered by the ones who are hot if you’re anything less than 5’11. Now most of the time women fall into the average category, and there are times when hot women just happen to have low self esteem and feel they’re average, but of the ones who are hot and know it and of ones that are average and overly estimate their looks as ‘hot’ they have the feeling that it would be beneath them to settle for someone less than 5’11 if they don’t need to.
Why’s that?
Because they can feel that way.
What’s so bad about being under 5’11?
You would have to ask them, I don’t think there’s any one reason they have that preference.
What if you’re jacked?
That almost certainly increases the pool of availability for a man who is under 5’11 but it’s still not going to draw most of their attention.
Why wouldn’t it?
Because there’s more to the appeal of height than can be pragmatically compensated for by the physical gains of muscles. It’s not enough to just be able to project more force or to have a sculpted figure.
Muscles are much more useful than height
You may feel that way but women are not always concerned with those uses.
A guy with muscles would kick any tall guys ass
How attractive someone is as a mate depends on different things in different times. If we lived in Mongolian Hun society there would be an extreme emphasis on the physical capability of men to kick the shit out of other men irrespective of height, but with adaptations like firearms, private security, police, and lower crime rates there is less emphasis on it. There are very effeminate and skinny men who can get laid even though the average man working at a gas station could kick their ass.
But don’t women want masculinity? What’s more masculine than beating the shit out of other guys?
Women in general want masculinity, but not all women are the same. There are varying levels of masculinity and there can be too much of a good thing.
