Have you ever liked someone so much that since then they became "your type" and every person you crushed on after them looked more or less like them?

For example you had such a deep interest/crush/love etc for someone with a certain feature/look etc and since then they basically became your type and every person you crush on has that distinct feature she/he had.

Eg my bestfriend had a huge crush on a blonde tall guy and since then all her crushes looked more or less like him (blonde and tall) although before this said crush appeared , she had a more varied taste and mostly dated dark haired men.
I feel like i'm going through the same thing now and since my last love interest was Algerian I feel like Algerian men are my type now and I feel attracted to the way they speak although it wasn't the case before lol.

I wonder if this is common with others too? Did one experience ever influence your overall preference?
