There's a guy I've known as an acquaintance or casual friend for a while, and I had no romantic interest in him. One day he mentioned bands he likes that are more obscure from the 70s and 80s. He also mentioned metal bands that he likes... And everything he mentioned was something I really like as well. Suddenly I started feeling an attraction towards him the more I realized we had things in common.

Have you ever had the same experience of learning someone likes the same things as you and developing a crush because of it?

Yes, I have and it happened quite naturally. We had almost the identical worldview. Her personality is way different than mine. The more I got to know her the more I discovered the core of who she is matches mine.
Yeah, a crush attraction led to good things.
