The image is accurate. It's also kind of funny to me because it seems to me like women are the ones who cause this.

To be clear before I go on, I'm not an incel or a guy who is bitter because he can't get laid. I'm in a happy relationship and didn't struggle to get laid before that, so I'm not coming from that angle. Nor am I a misogynist.

Women often don't seem to understand cause and effect. Feminism has taught many young women that sleeping around is "liberating", and that slut-shaming is a bad thing.

What I see a lot are women who complain about promiscuous men in one breath, and then in their next breath they're talking about how slut-shaming is bad and that women should be free to sleep around without judgement. So they don't like players, but they want to sleep around themselves. They just flip that double standard upside down.

Here's the thing: women are the gatekeepers of sex. Women control the dating the market for the most part. Sure, if men didn't sleep around this wouldn't happen, and men are partly to blame, but women are the ones who create hook-up culture.

When our culture was more patriarchal the rule was that you had to marry to have sex. Men couldn't sleep around if women were unwilling to have sex outside of marriage. Basically the rule was that the guy had to be committed to the girl to have sex with her, and she wouldn't have sex with him early on. This is why slut-shaming existed, to prevent that from happening.

In comes feminism telling women that that's unfair, that having sex with whoever you want however you want is liberating, then what? The people who really win there are guys who are attractive enough to have sex with a lot of women. Women who follow that path of having fun in their 20s and then looking to settle down in their 30s struggle to find decent men. Men win out here.

To add to that now there are many young women who think that sex work is acceptable, or they look for sugar Daddies. Rich older men. These women will never find decent men either. Decent men will be turned off if they find out the girl had a sugar Daddy. If not, she'll follow the same thing of having fun with that through her 20s and then looking to settle down at 30, but she'll be used to dealing with rich men so she'll want one of those. But, she most likely doesn't have the qualities that a guy would want in a wife, because feminism has taught her that those are unfair expectations also. And anyway she never had to do it with the sugar daddy, he was paying her money because she was young and pretty. Now she has little going for her, and those rich guys won't want her. At best she'll have to settle for an average guy, a huge step down for her. Ultimately she'll be unhappy.

And it's young women who encourage this. Most young men think that all of this is disgusting. But the young women because they can't see ahead just laugh it off.

Yes. I view being liberating is a kind of revenge too. But it's very illogical. I found the response to "Free milk" with "Why take home the whole pig if all you want is a bit of sausage?" It doesn't make any sense. We are procreated differently, biologically. The more strangers a woman let them touch, the deeper depression and emptier self it seems. Women produce Oxytocin after being intimate with someone. It's impossible that they won't feel anything. There IS a bonding.

You're right hookup culture exists because of women. Maybe just have to wait for men to grow up and ready to settle down? Well, until then I'll be too old. Or try to convert MGTOW, persuade them to come back? LOL

It is illogical, but those arguments as true as they are don't even work on younger women because they've basically been taught that they should ignore all of that. Plus while they're young they're at their most attractive, and they don't realise that it gets harder as they get older, partly because feminists will tell them that it doesn't - you'll see feminists on here try to convince women for example that the only reason men say it is to control women, when actually the real reason is because it's just true. Also partly because they seem not to care about looking too far ahead while they've got it good.

In our culture also, it seems like feminists especially just like to blame men for everything and come up with social conventions to try to justify women's behaviour. Like for example, a woman has her fun in her 20s avoiding commitment maybe. Then she reaches her 30s and looks to settle down. She meets guys who are turned off by that, because guys naturally don't want a woman who has a high number of sexual partners. What do they then do? Well, feminism has taught them that they shouldn't care about what men want, so rather than encouraging women not to sleep around they attempt to shame men into accepting it. Call him insecure or attack his masculinity in some way. That doesn't work. So the ones who end up losing out there are those women.

But then now what we're seeing is women who are telling other women never to reveal the number of past partners, and are telling men that they shouldn't even ask. Another attempt to manipulate men into accepting it.

There are so many other examples of this. MGTOW guys, at least the ones who aren't just incels, are guys who see all of this and can't be bothered with it. They won't come back, especially because they already know that many women are already trying to do that, and they don't trust it at all.

The situation is simple.

In a sense mating can be seen as a game where a number of males and females attempt to pair up with their ideal partner where men generally do the propositioning (stable matching problem). Men will basically go down in order of preference until a woman says yes because he is an acceptable match.

The problem us that often men and women will have the same preference as each other. In this case many women might desire the same man. The "fair" means of getting this man to choose you all revolve around becoming his favorite choice that will accept. This might mean being attractive, fit, affectionate, etc... like winning a race by being the fastest.


Now what women have done is popularized cheating the game. By providing sex early on they've essentially cut in line of all the girls who had a chance with that guy, like winning a race by taking a shortcut.

In a stable society this woman should be heavily shamed by other women because she's essentially stolen the prize one of them was supposed to win fair and square.

But due to many modern problems such as sexual liberation women have decided that instead of preventing people from taking the shortcut... that they will all just take the shortcut and offer men sex when they shouldn't.

The are too many factors to list contributing to this development to go through: larger population pools, acceptance of premarital sex, population diversity, loss of faith, less interest in children, more things to focus on, farther life boarders, population separation, etc...

There's no need to be anymore because it already happened: We humans have already lost to the phones and computers (way before the hypothetical skynet would be born)

However I do not consider machines or AI to be our enemies, who hold us back. That would be a quite hypocritical thing to do. But the people, who lost to it? I am not sure if it's worth saving them. I believe natural selection knows it's way.

I was observing teens the other day in Panera... clearly some BF/GF's... they were all on their phones... ALL of them. the boyfriend and girlfriend held their phones closer as they staired at the screen and barely communicated. Some just staired into space. Oh my God!! I can only imagine what our grandparents thought of our reality, so I'm sure well all survive, but it's messed up.
As for dating, I think it's a mess and doesn't need to be. People don't know where to go, the online is not very trustworthy... so many people have X on top of X and who knows what they did with them... which is revolting. I'm shocked diseases aren't more rampant than they are.
Finding someone compatible, getting through the process, and then being successful together... no wonder birth rates are dropping.

I do think so. Lots of couples these days communicate via social media. It's boring to see them being dramatic and let everyone see, hoping people would take their side. They complain about their partners online. It's disrespectful. I wouldn't like to be criticized like that if I happen to do something wrong. Direct communication and manner are things people whose lives are into this new world lack of today. Young men who are single would romantically rave (I don't know what the exact word) about their crushes, but don't have courage to tell them in person. Weak.

With dating apps, people have more choices. Then they don't stop at one. Even though it's not easy to trust people whom you can't see in real life. They prefer to take risks.
I like your idea of saving the planet haha. Anyways, I don't think people would survive without phones. My students went on camping recently. Their phones weren't allowed, so they didn't touch phones for a couple of days. They told me they had no idea what to do. Kids now are addicted to online games as well. Playgrounds are filled with kids sitting and interacting with other kids via screens of their phones. No more marbles and cards.
