Good in some situations but can be a kill joy in others. I'd prefer stern authoritative figures who can switch between laid back and stern. Stern people provide structure. In my experience I had a stern mother who did give me a reasonable about on independence I turned out pretty well i like to think. Having a stern teacher gave me better grades. Having a stern partner could be beneficial in role playing in the bedroom or having a teacher student thing but in general a stern partner could be controlling and make you feel like you're living with your parents. Always good. There isnnoyhing wrong with it at all. That's me as I take life very seriously. But because of that it makes life a bit easier for me and allow me to make get connections with people like me.
