Confused about my crushes feelings and his he capin to me?

Soo there is this athlete in my school that I have a major crush on but everyone says he doesn’t date black girls. So I decided to ask one of his guy friends to telling him that I have a crush on him so he did and that I know he doesn’t fw black girls but I just wanna let him know. So his friend told him and he told his friend that he does like black girls but he is talking to someone at the moment but if it doesn’t work out with them he will hit me up. I don’t know how to feel about that giving we have only one and a half months together before we graduate and he is going out of state for college. Any advice?
