So this girl and I have been texting for months, we were close friends from college and have been getting to know each other. I don't know how to describle our relationship, since we weren't dating and weren't really just friends either, we both agreed that we were "friends who are getting to know each other's personalities to see if we can click as romantic partners". I know it's something trivial, but if we go out together on that basis, would the outing be called a date?
