I know where he was going with what he was saying. He was trying to motivate you to make friends and pointing on out that you need to make effort in making them, ‘too’. I get it. However, you did not take it that way and you do seem interested in keeping this person around, you really should talk with them. Thing is, the greatest killer of any relationship... be it friend or love one, is when the communication breaks down. The other person can’t read our minds and because they can’t they can’t fix what they do not know. They don’t know what they don’t know. So if we take the path of being silent the fault becomes our own. Things can bother us and we can either dismiss them and move on, we can let them stew and cause a break down till we just walk away, or we can address them and move forward. I occasionally will dismiss if it is insignificant. However, if they are important to me, I will address things with them because I really do want them around.
We really must take responsibility for our own actions and inactions. It is no one else’s responsibility but our’s alone. So talk with him.
Hooo texting galore.
Talk. Face to face.
Too delicate.
Be open, but stop texting on the subject.
Just say, let's talk about it when we see in real life, not here.
It will all go wrong if you continue, or stop texting or...
Bare minimum is a phone call.
Honestly, it sounds like something I'd say. However I think I would've used proper words. "U say u dont have any friends but dont do anything about it." I think that's fair. Instead of just pointing out the problem I'd give you a proper solution. He tried by saying "make a friend". Thats just like saying to someone with a broken leg just fix it. Just sitting there feeling sorry for yourself isn't going to do anything. 1. you need to grow thicker skin. I used to get easily hurt by what people said but there's no point bitching and whining about it. 2. stand up for yourself. 3. Yeah go make some friends. We're on lockdown whats the worst that could happen? People are "popping up" to anyone who wants to talk.
Also why can't you just be honest and say hey what you said was a dick move. At least you leave him with something to work on and you have the upper hand
He's only being honest. The only one who has to fix that part of yourself is yourself. And let me tell you as somebody who has a hard time making friends LEARN TO LOVE YOURSELF. He has a very good point here. But I will say he was being a jerk at the end for saying 'lol'. That was a jerkass move. And it was unnecessary. But again, I will say this though as somebody who had to learn to be direct with people. You cannot get the things you want until you start being more serious about the things you need, and that is healing. You're dealing with depression. And that should be seen by a professional counselor, and not for you to worry about friends, crushes or boyfriends. Getting yourself together is so you can attract the right kind of people who wants to be your friend or want to date you. You have to grow. You can do it!

Just ignore it. He's a prick but he's got a point, so learn from it even though it's hurtful.
Honestly that’s a asshole move... I don’t think you should have anything to do with him... it is rude to say that... there’s many people who struggle making friends. People who have many wouldn’t understand... instead of encouraging you in a positive way, it just degrades you. And In a way he’s saying it’s your fault, which it isn’t because some people are more introverted.. people who are shy are more trustworthy and tend to find long lasting friends rather people who have many.
He’s just being honest that’s all. I don’t think he did anything wrong (maybe because I’m pro a sly blunter than him). I think you should thank him for being honest. It’s something you may not like but do need to hear. Take this as a lesson and learn from it.
May be he was rough, but not all people who are rough are enemies it might be either he cares for you too much he can't see you like that with no friends but he was being honest
You know if you do t action it won't resolve your problem
And when you focus only on a single person and give your attention only to that person they will freak out so you will end up hurt, so make a few friends start with girl friends who match your comfort level eventually you will open up.
You can leave him on read if you want to but I'd recommend that you do let him know that his words hurt you. He might be ignorant to not realize it but he gots to know what he's done. Let yourself out.
Your crush sounds extremely rude and callous. His ignorant and asinine remarks — along with his constant use of "u" demonstrate his infantile mindset.
You deserve better than this.
No ma'am!!!
Many men will come and go but the ones who talk to you like that don't deserve the time of day.
He’s being rude af but boys are dumb... he most likely doesn’t even realize he’s hurting your feelings. Just tell him that he could have worded himself better.
Sometime the truth hurts but it sounds like he wasn’t trying to hurt you on purpose. He should have used different words but it’s ok because it’s a learning experience and it sounds like he does care.
I don‘t think he said it to be rude, that‘s just how he sees it since it‘s apparently easy for him to make friends, maybe ask him how he meant it
leave that dude on read
Hmmm... sounds like he hit a nerve.
did you maybeconsider that he is right?
Tell him than go dead
You mean on read?
I think he is right.
