@meesgegoMoo I couldn't say as I've never been to either of those places, nor do I know anyone who has. My point is that when the whole North vs South stuff was happening, it was nothing like it is today, there's people from all over the place living in the so called South, as such, there's not really an accent that fits all of us into, or even most of us for that matter.
There are trends. Especially with regard to your vowels and hard consonants. Look at people in ND, MT, MN, and maybe Iowa, they all share vowel pronunciation that's very different from the way people speak in Dixie.

When you dislike someone it makes them sound like an idiot and when you like them it’s charming and sweet as honey.
I’d imagine most men will like yours.
Southern accents are really diverse but overall I don’t mind them.
For myself, as long as correct grammar & punctuation are used it is irrelevant to me.
Like saying pan
Or. Payan
Everyone has their preferences, and accent is really not that big of a deal, but I think a southern accent is pretty hot.
Different people like different things
I'm from the north, and I hate my voice
Not because I'm from the north but because I just don't like it, in general
I've always liked it, I have an accent like it myself.
Why do y'all keep saying Southern as if the confederacy is still a thing?😂 Stop caring what others think of your so called "southern" accent
The U. S. is a huge place mate, we have different accents. Notice how people in South Africa sound different from people from Wales?

I've got a bit of a southern accent myself, I spent half my life in Texas. I think girls with a southern accent sound really sexy.
It depends. Slight one can be cute, but strong one is really annoying
I personally love it. One of my friends is from Mississippi. and I love the way she talks.
Seriously? Southern Accents are widely regarded as some of the sexiest female voices in the world.
As a southern male I like the southern accent from a woman. to me it is better than that northern yous guys... lol
Wife grew up in Houston. We now live in New England and people we know thinks exotic given all the accents up here.
Well it's absolutely normal to have an accent. I have a Russian accent while speaking English, but I don't really care about it :)
That accent grates on me every time I hear it. Anybody would be wise to neutralize their accent, no matter what type it is
its sweet, feminine, alluring. sometimes... it's annoying:)
I Do like the sound a southern gal makes when she speaks.
i thaaaank it's juuuuuuust fiiiiiiiiiine... maaaaaa'aaaaam XD
My sister lives in west Texas, and even though I grew up there, sometimes I can barely understand her, myself.
I'm cool with it, as long as we understand each other no worries.
