What do American girls think of British guys?

I'm British and moving to the US in 2011.

I'm curious as to what American girls think of British guys. what stereotypes there are. right or wrong lol

They have "better" manners and know how to chat a girl up without offending her. Their humour is darker, more twisted and can be downright ridiculous...but they will never unleash it on you (it's only for their mates). They don't like their women to laugh at dark jokes.

At the same time, they're emotionaly cold.

You will never trully know them as they have had their inner self repressed by the culture, prep school, parents etc.

They may show warmth to you one minute and be totaly gone the next. They can be very selfish and materialistic people, and secretly dislike everyone all while practicing a sickening political correctness.

Also, they keep their women "sweet" and muzled (she has to be nothing but a good mother). They marry for status and class. They stick to their own soft spoken women because they are easier to controll, while dissolving into a tolerable relationship. Besides that many of them expect a woman to be a brood mare (and expect nothing short of 5 sons, or some absurdity).

In their younger years they seek more "passionate" women from exotic lands who are more emotionaly open and vibrant in humour and spirit. They have great sex with them and leave them because their family will never accept the girl. They will never go against their family.

Your hypothesis is correct until you reach roughly halfway between the 6th line.
Many englishmen are good people, and have not treated women like this for at least 80 years.
However, some englishmen are cold and horrible. This may be due to broken homes, abusive parents and/or other issues. Generally only wealthier englishmen are selfish and materialistic, as they grow up believing most of the middle/lower class are inferior. We do not 'keep our women sweet' so she can be a good mother and have five children. Usually the maximum amount of children in a home of the middle class is between 3-4 children. We have gone against our families for women before because we show compassion and love for the significant other. Perhaps you should visit England, see for yourself this oversimplified image you have of English men.

We Americans have the stereotype of stupid because for the most part, we are. Not only are Americans rude and quite unintelligent, but are suckers for anything from the UK. (except if you're irish). Girls will be all over your regardless your looks because of the way you talk and dress (because the fashion is way different here). The objective of most of the girls is to say that they have a British friend.

You may like it though. I have friends in Scotland and England who come and visit often and love America.

If you are going to places close to Michigan and New York, most people might think that you are from Canada. There are few places that have slightly similar accents to those for the UK. Most Americans don't know the difference.

So good luck with it all... and be ready to be annoyed by a million questions because Americans are also very nosy.

Oh and spliff is illegal for the most part. There are only a few states where it is legal for medical use, and it is a lot harder to get in America. (just in case, lol)

Me, I personally don't really fall for the charm of foreign accents but lots of girls do.

I don't know how to say this without sounding rude but in terms of stereotypes...american girls either think british guys are 1.more cultured than american guys or 2.kind of gay (not that there's anything wrong with it)

I was watching a Matt Smith interview and the whole time I kept thinking, wow is this guy for real? Why does he have so many feminine gestures (not that it's wrong of course). Or maybe that's just the way Matt Smith is and not true of most british guys. I still like Matt Smith, even though he's girlier than me.

British guys are so much more put together than Americans in everyway. Their clothes, hair, their manners, Their lives just everything. Not to mention the accent is a panty dropper.

For American girls they are such a turn on because they are so exotic and its nice to be around someone different than the norm. I'm sur eits the same for British girls and the way they view American guys.

lol, I have had tea 3 times in my life :P. I guess the stereotype abut teeth is based on the fact that on average, british sweets contain a higher average amount of sugar than the us. I am glad my teeth rnt yelloww though :)
