My three month date feels no romantic connection, will it work?

My date of three month told me he feels no romantic connection, but still likes me. I already have that connection, so I'm not sure if I should give him more time or not, since I really like him. He's always affectionate and cares about me. Also, he thinks I'm attractive but not hot.
He told me he did want a relationship with me, but didn't ask because he didn't feel anything more than fwb/date. Plus, he said he never wants to stop speaking to me not matter what.

If a guy doesn't want to make you happiest girl in the world after dating for 3 months. Keep him at just a friend or ditch him. You usually get into a relationship with someone to eventually marry them. Not just have fun from time to time. You know what I mean? Do what's best for you girl.
