When there is an overall attractive single person who the large majority would be happy to be with, why are there a few haters?

I know some people are just different and just not their type, but that's not what I'm talking about. I am talking about people who are repulsed. I know there will always be haters, but why are they repulsed by someone everyone would be happy to be with? If you have been repulsed by someone who everyone loves, I would like to know why. If you haven't been, then do you have any thoughts on this?

I am talking about when the person's gender is one that you're physically attracted to. Let's imagine being physically attractive enough is not an issue. He/she has a great personality according to most people.

Ex. Out of 100 straight girls, 75 are attracted to a certain guy because of his good looks and personality, 20 just think oh he's cool but not my type, but 5 just can't stand him.

I'm wondering about the 5 who can't stand him... what do you think these 5 people see in this guy that makes them push him away?

To be clear, the attractive person is of a gender that the hater is physically attracted to.

Ex. lesbian girl dislikes another lesbian girl

Ex. straight guy dislikes another straight girl.
