Will you ever accept an open relationship out of love?

so my crush does not want to get into a relationship with me because he is still seeing his college lover (they know each other since 5 years and has been LD since 2 years). we got into an argument because of this and he blocked me.
when i dug deeper, i found the girl dating another guy. she posted a pic. there is no pic of her with my crush but on my crush's profile he post picture of him and that girl.
when my crush saw that pic, i think he got jealous and unblocked me.
Coming from south Asian background, i know my crush and i we don't have such culture to accept open relationship (otherwise dating a girl here would not have been an issue).
He did not tell me but i think he did his first time with her. He always travel to go see her.
Does their relationship sounds healthy?

If I understood, he want an open relationship with you, but got jealous seeing his lover with someone else. How will he be with you seeing someone? Does he consider you as another lover or someone special? Why don't you talk with him about this?

I'm not really for an open relationship. I have things I'm willing to concede but them being with someone of the opposite sex so for me it would be my girlfriend dating another guy is ground for immediate breakup

exactly i would breakup immediately as well. when we argued just to avoid embarrassing himself he told me his girlfriend did not want him to date another person. do i sound dumb >.<
my crush ended up liking the picture of his girlfriend with another guy. LOL
at the end of the day he is stupid, he isn't enjoying his life while the girl is fucking other guys. If the girl decides she want to be with someone else, that would be the cherry on the cake :)

Hold on that is my opinion. I know a guy through my college were they are emotionally compatible but sexually incompatible so they have an open of can sleep around but no emotional stuff outside of each other.

I understand it is your opinion. In my case the girl is literally dating another guy since they traveled together, hanged out and went to fancy restaurants on her birthday and the guy sent her gifts.
my stupid crush still look for the girl's emotional support but can't see that he is beating a dead horse.
anyways i won't care about my crush now, it's not my job.. i can already see what is coming next.

Him being jealous about his girlfriend having someone clearly shows that an open relationship is not his thing. So the only reason he'd be going out would be to kind of annoy his "actual" girlfriend I guess. You deserve better.

No, I would not. There is no such thing as "love" in an 'open relationship'. All such "relationships" are lame excuses for cheating and loose conduct and are immoral. Love could find no place there and the term "open relationship" is a misnomer and an oxymoron.
