Yes, immaturity is a deal breaker. If you say you're going to do something - whether it is show up on time, pick up bread from the grocery store, or drive my friend to the airport at a butt early time, I expect you to do it. Is this not the basis of trust?

Obviously, no one is perfect and sometimes accidents happen, but I value my time and don't want someone wasting mine, ours, or otherwise disappointing those I'm close to.

Maturity is standing there and listening to someone tell you that you said you would close the window and then forgot and because of it, the rain came in and ruined their new sneakers. It is not cutting them off mid sentence, blaming them, or otherwise not accepting responsibility. It is recognizing a part of your behavior that led their discontent.

Maturity is standing there when someone tells you what you said was hurtful, even if you don't agree. It is the understanding that other people experience life differently than you, and that their perspective is worthy of being listened to, regardless of "whether their argument is justified" "or you disagree with them." Freedom of speech implies the right to be taken seriously and maturity accepts this with humility.

Maturity is controlling for, understanding, and mitigating situations BEFORE they happen. Are you a touchy drunk who likes flirting and attention? Maybe the mature thing is to drink responsibly, or ask a friend to keep an eye on you, or heck, maybe only go out with your partner.

It is honestly. Even though I'm not the pinnacle of maturity or adulthood I'm still a rather serious person who focuses on the real and not the imaginary. I don't like to go to parties (get together among friends are fine), I don't like to drink a lot, gossip, talk about mind numbing things or listen to awful music.
A girl's personality is very important to me, more so than looks even, and I need her to be smart, aware, classy and caring. These traits are not seen in immature people.

This does not mean I'm against having fun. I just need a girl who knows when to be serious and who doesn't waste her time with ridiculous and meaningless things/people.

Yes, it is. But age does not always equal maturity. I've dated guys my age and older who were super immature. However, my current husband is a lot younger than me (I'm 43. He's 26). However, when I'm with him I don't notice an age difference. He's very mature, he's a college grad with a high paying job, he's responsible, and he's great at commitment. In fact, most of the age-gap differences in our relationship have actually been positive (less baggage, more energetic, more stamina in bed, etc)
I'm not saying there isn't a correlation because there certainly is (I was very hesitant at first when my now husband tried pursuing me because I assumed he was probably way too immature for me). However, there are certainly many exceptions when it comes to age and maturity. Women (and men) should be open for that possibility.

No, I think of it as a scale from one to ten.

1- being a goody two shoes who never breaks any rules or has any fun etc.

10- being a man baby who has no intention of getting a job oroving out or contributing to society at all.

Like maybe a happy 4-7 is just right

Someone who can break rules have fun and push the boundaries but always knows where the final line in the sand is.

Some immaturity is fun so got to have at least a little bit.

Immaturity is always a deal breaker for women but oddly enough, I think it's the opposite for guys. We like a girl that can be ok with letting loose and not being so closed up...

But I think maturity for women is viewed in relationships specifically where the guy learns to be behave and settle down.

But for me, to find a girl that still likes to sky drive or do cosplay for example, that's the kind of immaturity that I want :)

It depends on the circumstances but not really for me, no. We should all just be ourselves and not worry about what society is trying to entrain into our heads. If you want to act silly, go ahead. If you’re in your forties and want to watch stuff like family guy, stay up late, eat ice cream, play a video game, who cares? Be yourself because your better half is out there somewhere, probably doing the exact same thing you are.

But if they were immature in the sense of not playing and going day by day while ignoring consequences then I would be less inclined to date the person

It depends on the way it's expressed. A female co-worker of mine got mad like three times in a shift (working in food delivery service) and on the other hand euphoric as well once, when she bumped her butt onto mine whilst I was standing at the computer desk. This was rather fine. On the other hand her shrieking when being euphoric was some damn pain to my ears, which is rather annoying.
