Am I the only one who couldn't fathom farting or burping in front of their boyfriend?

I don't really tend to do it on accident/ around people anyone. But I always hear people saying they're waiting to fart around their bfs or that it happens to everyone eventually. I just think I would feel beyond humiliated I do get that other people have different levels of embarrassment surrounding these things, but I've never understood how people can do it

When you're young and in high school, I guess the thought of farting around your boyfriend could be humiliating, mainly because boys your age tend to be immature about it. Some guys also consider it unattractive for a female to pass gas. However, the longer you're together and more comfortable you are towards each other, it doesn't feel embarrassing anymore. This is especially true when you've been dating for years and live together. In my case, I don't have any problems with passing gas around my fiancee, whom I live with. Mind you, I wouldn't purposely fart around a boyfriend that I recently met during our first few dates because my goal is to leave a great first impression, but I definitely would the closer we get.

When you live with your boyfriend and you eventually get married, it's almost impossible to escape it then. To be honest, I probably pass gas a lot more than the average woman. I'm into fitness and I eat a healthy diet mostly consisting of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and white meat. Healthy foods, while nutritious, give you serious gas. I just can't imagine myself leaving the room that my fiancee and I are sharing just to fart. Whenever I need to pass gas, I just let it out right there. Of course, that doesn't mean I do it in public or around just anyone, except those I'm really close to. My fiancee, on the other hand, farts a lot too and he doesn't mind doing it around me. I guess you can say we both make a good gassy couple. I believe that the strongest couples are the ones that aren't afraid of doing things in front of each other.

I have bad anxiety and can't think of a single person I'd willingly fart infront of lol, with a boyfriend it's embarrassment plus me thinking he'll never be able to find me attractive again especially if it smells. Tbh I don't ever see myself getting that comfortable

Do you have siblings? You've never passed gas around your brothers or sisters? I can understand why it would embarrass you at your age though, especially if you weren't really dating that long. However, as you get older and get closer to him, it could be less embarrassing. Also, if your guy doesn't find you attractive because of a simple fart, then he probably isn't the right guy for you. I mean, everybody does it. You might not see it now, but it could be possible to get more comfortable as you get older. You never know. It might happen, or it might not. Still, I just think that it's healthier if you're able to be less nervous around each other.

That makes sense. And believe it or not I only fart around my sister on accident, it's not embarrassing I just don't tend to do it unless it's on accident

Lol, that's actually kind of weird. I'd be more embarrassed to fart by accident than on purpose. lol Anyways, yeah if you're comfortable around your sister, it's possible the same could happen around your future husband too.
