Does anyone get annoyed when people in relationships say things like "you'll find somebody eventually"?

I'm single, but whenever I mention this or that I've never had a boyfriend... people in relationships automatically say things like:
"Oh don't worry you'll find somebody!"
"Figure out who you are before getting into a relationship!"
"Oh really? I'm sorry"
Or they just flat out shame you.
... because being single is really "such a tragedy." Like first of all, why do you assume I'm looking for someone at all? Why do you assume I haven't figured out myself? I've also gotten the "Oh, is it because you're closeted gay?" (I'm not) People are weird.
Does anybody get this?

Yes, it's very annoying, especially when they are trying to hook me up with some of their unattractive friends, because they think I'm desperate and that I would settle for anyone.
But they are wrong, if I can't be with the girl I love, I'd rather be alone.

They just assume that you can't get a boyfriend, but in reality your not looking for one. It is annoying. Or they just say "you'll find one eventually" because they don't know what else to say.

I understand you. My best friend had always had a partner and wanted to play matchmaker. It seemed like she thought that one could not be happy without a partner. It was quite annoying.

I find it better to focus on goals, you'll see results and there'll be much less heart ache. I recently deviated from my goals for a woman and I'm still suffering. There is a point for waiting for the right woman.
