Probably, because we want to fulfill our needs, be IT longing, intimacy, companionship, etc. We focus on what we want and don't Ask the other person about their wants or don't listen. Sometimes the other party also does not communicate openly about their perspective or in some aspects we just don't understand IT.

That’s true it can become toxic when two people are trying to change one another though

Yes, IT can become toxic and really unfair towards the person we are trying to change. But there are also cases when people don't try to change the other, but just ignore the perspective of their partner. I think that in a way that leafs to even more toxicity.

I agree but there is also narcissists who can only see it from their perspectives as well but I do agree many people are probably well meaning.

But they would be much happier finding someone more compatible as well as the other person especially. Some people do that too where they don’t want to communicate. Refuse to listen to the other as well as refuse to be direct themselves only being passive aggressive and subtle until they finally blow up.

Probably so. I can only speak from my experience, but sometimes these people just count on the myth that our loved one will change for US for the better. The problem lies here in their lack of understanding that someone Has to want change to actually change and that what they se as good might not be considered good by their partner. As you've said this can lead to disappointment followed by their burst of Anger. This is also something that nobody but them Has to understand.

Noticed that a lot on GAG actually. But people also become bitter with the opposite sex too because they meet people they aren’t compatible with and just assume they are evil lol.

Because of the way they were raised , people assume everyone is already on the same page with things, but the truth is , we aren’t , why communication is very important , before entering a relationship with anyone
