How do guys have crushes on a girl when there are a thousand that are prettier?

This guy talks to so many pretty girls and pays attention to me but how can i compete and how do guys even have crushes on girls who aren’t as pretty as the rest

please dont give me cheesy answers like “its the personality”(because we’re talking in my age range, and im 16 so realistically that isn't a big thing to consider) or sumth i wanna know the truth

Depends on taste I suppose. One guy might prefer the typical blue eyes, blonde hair look while others might have a soft spot for brunettes with large brown eyes.

Basically, humans aren't great at judging how good someone looks since different people favour different combinations of physical traits. If Girl A for instance, has better facial symmetry and bodily proportions than Girl B, then it still won't guarantee that A will be crushed on by a guy.

The two girls I had a crushes on between age 15 and 22 (Not at same time), both had similar ways of behaving.
Both were pretty, but not necessarily the prettiest girls around, but how they behaved made them far more attractive than girls with more model features.

It was that shy quiet, but genuinely kind and mannerism, combined with nice features.

So its not exclusively looks or personality, its finding the right blend of both.

Its not about looks or personality, its about CONNECTION. The same way you have a crush on one guy, when there are 1000 better. Its because you have a deeper connection with him that singles him out. Same applies.
