Why do guys only go for the prettiest girls?

I see guys complain all the time about how women are trash nowadays, yada yada. They only go for the pretty girls, they only go for the girls they find to be super attractive, but never for average looking girls like me. I'm just invisible in the corner, no one notices me or cares about me.

I am traditional, I am religious, saving for marriage, I want to have kids, I want to get married young etc. BUT NO ONE IS INTERESTED IN ME! They don't even care to say hi, and if I say hi they ignore me. 😥

Looking at your age, I can tell you why: they're immature and even though they claim they want a, "nice girl with a good personality," they're thinking with the wrong head-

In other words, they say one thing, but realistically they're going to pursue an attractive girl with little to no substance. Yes, dating sucks; speaking from my own experience at your age, haha. I was the "geeky, tomboy-ish girl" that guys only saw as a friend, but not a girlfriend.

Unfortunately, some guys never outgrow that mentality and it carries into adulthood, making dating just as bad, if not worse in most cases : All I can suggest to you is to not stress over it. Focus on other things in your life: friends, church, school, extracurricular activities, etc... and not to let those little boys stress you out. Ideally, you'll find a guy when you're not trying, or when you're doing something you enjoy- that way he likes you for you, not just your appearance.

people prefer to go for hot people over average, both ways. also i mean teen boys (and tbh most guys in general) aren't into your type of girl personality/values wise anyways and that probably shows through your clothes/how you act. honestly just go look for average looking boys that are also religious and conservative and you'll probably have a lot more luck. like just go on conservative christian discord servers or stuff like that and you'll find someone

if you just want everyday guys like at school to notice you, you probably need to style yourself less modestly (i mean i dont know how you dress but i'm assuming you probably were conservative stuff, might be a bit frumpy maybe and like dont wear makeup etc) but you dont need to go that far though or anything. probably also wear makeup and take more care of your looks. also it might also be your personality too like i'm assuming you might be more shy and reserved? if that's the case just be more outgoing. also question are your a bit overweight? cause that might also be it

You're in a rough spot. Guys your age are either petrified of speaking to a girl or so cocky and full of themselves that you don't want them to talk to you.

I realize that what I'm about to write may not make you feel all that much better... but you are NOT invisible and there ARE goes who notice you. Guarantee it. Keep talking to people. Keep being noticeable -- don't change; just be you but be noticeable. There will be a guy. Or more than one.

But, up your chances: go to games and dances and clubs (like, after school clubs not club clubs 🤦‍♂️) and coffee shops and do sports and stuff. In other words, increase your chances of getting noticed.

And keep talking to both girls and guys.

How many people know this? How popular are these beliefs in your community? If you are an Evangelical Christian, consider that in the US, there are three Evangelical young women for every two men.

Do many people in your community get married young? Early marriages are more likely to fail than later marriages.

Also, why do you believe you are "average looking?" Most average-looking people can look a lot better with a good haircut and good clothes.

What are you doing with your life now? Where do you go where you might meet young men? Are you involved in any school activities?

Well in high school guys are usually shallow, not all, but most.. but there are the rare good guy in the pack you just got to find him and hopefully like him too. Really keep your eyes open and venture into different groups of people. I was bullied at my school but I went to a different high school with my friend and the guys were so nice at that school it was weird lol. So just try to get out of your comfort zone and don't think too much about if they like you or not.

Really? You think so. I have seen incredibly handsome men going for less attractive women. Look at some of the women Henry Cavill dated. Just Google it and you'll get what I mean. He is capable to date someone like Margot Robbie or Amanda Seyfried yet he picks the ones he does.
