I’ve been texting this guys for 2 months and we’ve only seen each other once. I know it’s still early stages but the other day I decided to ask him how he feels about me and even if it was just as a friend and he replied that.

If he needs time to heal, I would think that time should be alone. But I guess his word if honest is better than my guesses. If you both are happy with how things are, then continue as you please. No need to fix what isn’t broken.
