I noticed today that both men and women seems to praise blue eyes like crazy. I have hazel eyes, and I’m more attracted to darker eyes, ( I have a thing for Asian men so it might be Why).
I had this guy with light blue eyes, flirting with me once, and my friends got shocked that I rejected him, because I prefer tanned Asian men and he simply wasn’t my type. My friend was all like: « sis are you blind? That guy was so hot! He’s tall and his light blue eyes were so pretty! » and I replied with: « end? ». Like.. I couldn’t believe that my friends only considered him to be hot just because of his height and his eye color, but they were more drawn to his blue eyes. I also never wanted to have blue eyes, but people think that I’m a jealous liar when I say that I’m happy with my hazel eyes. Am I the only one who consider blue eyes to be seriously overrated?
I honestly love brown eyes. I'm not sure why, I think it has something to do with making their pupils look bigger tbh, but maybe that's just for me.
I have blue eyes myself. I like how they look in me, and wouldn't trade them for a different color.
However, when I write I find my main characters tend to have green eyes!
There is appeal to all the eye colors, and part of that comes with the associations we make between eye colors and certain traits, or even symbolism (think "blue eyed angel" or "green eyed elf"). And there are some people who just have remarkably distinct eyes, of any color!
Listen to me carefully my little lady, you have hazel eyes, they can change color at almost any time due to what you would eat over a period of time. Mine go olive green very often due to certain foods that I eat regularly, and back again in certain lighted areas when looking in a mirror. You have a better "eye" for what you require from a person that you would love than your friends do. So I say you severely need to be around some major different company to be among you, (people like my for example even though I am in the generation before yours.)
Blue eye color is attractive. I have greenish hazel eyes too. The reason blue eyes are considered attractive because it stands out the most among other eye colors. It grabs attention. But I think that the reason you don't prefer blue eyes is because of jealousy, I am in the same situation too. Sometimes I become jealous of a blue eyed person. I am an Asian (Pakistani), colored eyes are very rare here, So People find me attractive because of my eyes, until a Billa (we call a blue eyed person billa in Pakistan) comes by.
I personally prefer green eyes, my daughter has hazel eyes and they change in the son. My ex husband's eye color was nice too, sometimes looking gold and changed with his moods. From green to yellow to gold it was weird
Because they are a recessive trait. People are more likely to have brown eyes than blue. I have blue eyes, but my brother has these beautiful rich Carmel brown eyes. And I don't pay much attention to the color of the eyes when I like someone, but looking back on it, majoroty have had brown eyes.
I think blue eyes are given more love because they are much more rare than darker eyes, because they are a recessive gene. I love dark eyes though. I have dark brown eyes and have always been attracted to women with dark eyes, but I'm fine with light eyes too.
I can't think of an eye color that I think is ugly, they're all neat. Especially heterochromatic eyes, a very rare condition where a person's eyes are different colors from each other. Rare in real life, but much more common in anime.

I'm African but I think its wrong to say a european feature is ugly. There is beutiful Europeans but its ok just saying they are to light for you in a genuine way or opposite end of the scale in looks I think its also very subjective there is beauty in every continent for example in my opinion i think the darker Europeans with curly hair are a little more attractive but thats just my eyes putting African beauty standards on them lowkey. I think sometimes we focus to much on stereotypes because someone's beauty regardless of colouring will show through and there are times when someone who doesn't fit your head story is miles better looking and maybe the most beautiful person you've ever seen. I haven't seen all 7 billion people. Also the opposite goes for someone being unattractive no features can save you. If your beutiful then it should show through despite your race.
I'm grey-blue eyed, and sort of blond. That often gave me extra attention. I do not feel comfortable with it, because this reduces me to 'colours' only. You ask 'why' - I guess that it's the shallowness of society and a sheepish urge to adopt 'standards' that others set.

I like green, but brown is more common with black haired women. I like women with black hair, but my favorite eye color is green, but few black haired women have them so I've learned to appreciate brown. Here is my eye.
Blue eyes are not overrated: they are the best. Bright hazel eyes are a rarity so you scored on that count.

I never understood the appeal of blue eyes. I prefer dark brown eyes, but if it comes to light eyes, I think green eyes are prettier than blue. You’re allowed to have your standards but I find it weird how some people consider a man or a woman hot just for having blue eyes.
Not sure what you mean by overrated but the preferance might exist because of the rarity, genetic diversity is preferred in organisms and that seems like why no
I'm of the same opinion. I prefer men with dark eyes, but everyone has their own preference. In my country blue eyes aren't that common so in that case I understand why people like them as they are "exotic".
I believe that when you fall inlove with a person, you fall inlove with everything about them. I love bright green eyes, black hair and then i fell inlove with my boyfriend and suddenly blue eyes are my favorite to see.
