Does no experience in dating or too much experience in dating raise the likelihood of breakup?

I mean...
Do you think a girl who has never dated is more or less likely to have a break up compared to a girl who has had many breakups?
Which one is more likely to have a long term relationships?

I am looking at celebs and realize that the more breakup one has the less likely it is for them to have a relationship that lasts till death.

Most of my acqaintances have dated only once and they are still in the same relationship (mostly marriage)

While I agree that someone who is more predisposed to run at the first sign of trouble, is by definition predisposed to run at the first sign of trouble, I do believe that people CAN change, (or more specifically, they can learn) especially if they are younger! And that just because someone has dated a LOT of people doesn’t make them any more or less likely to find that ONE soulmate! I mean what good is Christianity, or even the whole principle of salvation if someone cannot change? Obviously people can change, and the younger they are the more likely they are to learn from their mistakes, and modify their behavior… fix what wasn’t working! Look, I’ve only dated one other guy, but that doesn’t mean I didn’t learn from the mistakes I made in my first relationship. As for Hollywood, I wouldn’t believe ANYTHING that ANYONE in Hollywood does, many of those relationships are fake and are organized by the studio’s for publicly! Or b/c someone is gay and if anyone found out it would destroy their appeal as a “leading man” or as a “action hero”!

I guess the more experience you have at dating and handling break ups, the better you are at picking yourself up from them after.

Its much better to break up from several casual relationships that didn't get serious, than someone you married and have been with for 7 years.

Just because someone is good to you for 6 years, doesn't give them the right to treat you like shit for a whole 1 year. Serial casual daters know when to pull the plug due to toxic behavior. In this case, you're less likely to have your self esteem wrapped up in someone else.

I think the first couple loves are the most powerful, and if you're lucky enough to find it early on, it will keep you safe from the less pleasant experiences people have when young people are too busy living their own lives instead of sharing them with someone else. However, if those people have lived their entire relationship and break up at 30, they are worse off emotionally than those who never made such commitments.

Statistically the people who are the most likely to stay married are those who waited until marriage to have sex/have one life-time sexual partner. The likelihood of divorce rises with each sexual partner up until around 20.

When somebody has a lot of sexual partners or a lot of break-ups that tells you a lot about how well they choose who to be with, and how well they do in relationships. As in how good they are as partners. If you've had a lot of break-ups you're likely responsible for at least 50% of them no matter how much you tell yourself that they were always the assholes and that you were never at fault.

In fact that's a very common way for such people to think, with almost zero self-awareness or accountability. Sometimes they can do alright later in if they're able to acknowledge their flaws and to work on them, but without self-awareness/accountability they do not.

I am ALL for dating a lot of people.
1. You will put up with less shit because you know the capability of getting another date is out there.
2. You get to experience lots of personalities and characters. Instead of guessing or falling for looks, you will gain a better understanding of what exactly you like and want.
3. You will learn to withhold sex until a guy earns it. If not, you will become a slut. Beware.
4. Other people will see you out with guys. You will be seen as MORE datable. There are guys that may not have approached you because they felt you would say, "No."
5. Women by their very nature are competitive with each other. You will be viewed as a positive example because you will be seen with lots of guys.

I’ve never been on a real date in my life nor a relationship. I learn about the dating scene and relationships by watching shows that would be a tad bit similar to real life. Even if the shows are scripted there’s some truth within it. I watch story times on YouTube, genuine couples, and do my own research.

I’ve gotten to know different guys throughout the years and I never felt comfortable to accept a date because they weren’t the one for me. Its been successful so far and I’m not in a rush to be in a relationship. I know my standards and I am aware they are realistic. When I meet a man I take my time and make sure he’s moving at my pace and not rushing the process. It’s all about the mind. You have to know yourself before you involve yourself with someone else.

It's a red flag to me if someone's been in and out of many relationships. I'd say a person who's had many breakups is less likely to find someone to settle down with for a lifetime.

I'd question their ability to settle down in a permanent relationship. Even if all of their partners ended the relationship , or it was mutual, it would still ring alarm bells about why they felt the need to be in so many relationships.

Reminded me I met a lady online in person for something serious before. It didn’t work out and she end up with another person. That too didn’t work out and she end up marrying someone else. The marriage didn’t last.
I think it’s more she was being in the relationship for wrong reasons.

I believe breakups occur because people don't understand the concept of friendship, not because of the lack of dating. It seems to me most people get into "friendships" for gain. To see what that person can offer them. The concept of meeting someone just to have a conversation and getting to know each other, without any expectations is a lost art.

It really depends as there are good points on both sides someone who is new to relationships will be less likely to handle the stresses or situations such as dealing with insecurities or jelousy in a relationship yet if someone has been in many they may have no clue what they want out off a relationship or if they even want to be in one I feel as with most things it will fade pend on the person in question

I honestly don't know, I think it would depend more on the person rather than how many break ups they've had? As breaking up doesn't necessarily mean they were in the wrong or had control over the situation.

I love my partners very much, I've never broken up with someone nor has anyone ever broken up with me. I don't think I'm less likely to have a break up because of that though.

No. However, if one or both make it a difference in the relationship then yes, it can cause a problem. Same goes with all disparities within a relationship. Age, income, experience, education... et cetera et cetera. Make them an issue and they will cause a chasm.

Celebs will marry to just promote a movie. They date many people at same time and have sex with 3 women at one time. Celebs are not the norm. I would date one woman at a time and it would not matter to me how many dates she had before unless she is loose.
