Would u date a girl who bites her finger nails?

Sometimes I do it even in my sleep when I'm stressed. My mum said "I don't how why u do that, it doesn't make you look cool like you think it does" but I don't even notice I'm doing it.. It makes me feel heaps ugly.

Why not? I don't see how finger nail length could make any difference to my view of their personality, I also bite my finger nails either when I am bored or thinking about something, I also do it when I think they are too long and don't want to bother with scissors or a file, so I bite them shorter then file them so they are smooth.

There is only really two that I don't bite and that is my thumb and index finger because I use that nail to open cans :p


I wouldn't call any length of nail cool... maybe colours on your nails can make them look intriguing but I have never considered a different length nail cool, if anything I would prefer a girl have shorter nails because I have had some nasty scratches from girls with long nails...

I have psoriasis, psoriatic nail syndrome, and (most likely) psoriatic arthritis, so mine are no prize either. In retrospect, my mom had the nail syndrome, and my maternal grandfather had psoriasis (for which he made his own sulfur salve) , and was missing two nails entirely. I inherited the worst physical- but good mental- characteristics from both sides of my family. sigh

I got everyone around me to yell at me whenever they saw me do it, I wore gloves whenever I could and I tried to remove as much stress from my life as possible

Ya I've tried the nail polish and rubber bands and I always get yelled at it my parents see me do it, I think it's just stress. thanks for the comment

I used to bite them down to the cuticle and before I went to basic training in the Air Force I decided I would not do it anymore. I guess you should pick a date and that will be the last time you bite your nails. But to answer your question, of all the irritating things that people can do, biting your nails doesn't even register in the irritation scale.

I bite my nails ALL the damn time, I couldn't say no and be a hypocrit. That's just some BS. As long as it isn't obnoxiously loud. Then it's all good. If it is. We'll just make do :D

I wouldn't be bothered by the bitting per say, but I'm not a fan of short nails.. Especially short painted nails.. But if I really liked the girl, then I could look past it... Possibly.. LOL..

Aw. Oddly, my first memory of wanting to be around women involved fingernails. I was like 7 years old and went to a bowling alley with my grandparents. There were other kids there. Whatever game we were playing had me on my back at some point. One of the girls noticed I had a hang nail and plucked it off. I got intense goosebumps from that and for years made a point of keeping all future hangnails attached lest any girls notice and want to pluck them off.

Hmm perhaps one day we shall relive such a memory.. in the meantime, buy some toe nail clippers and don’t cut so close to the skin.. a nail filer to keep them nice and smooth so you don’t scratch somebody and moisturize them feetsies! Hang nails love to crack through rough dry feet! 😭
