Better question, Why ISN'T ghosting acceptable?

If you are talking to someone and they aren't interesting to you, stop talking to them.

You don't need justifcation for choosing not to speak to someone. Even if you've been speaking for weeks/months.

I feel like as time goes on you get a better sense of who a person is. If you don't like who that person is or is portraying themselves as. It is perfectly acceptable to break that off and move on without having to justify that decision.

If someone tries to manipulate me, lies or betrays me, or they talk shit behind people's back, I'll ghost them. People like that don't deserve an explanation why I no longer want them in my life. I don't owe them anything once they cross that boundary.

If someone is being creepy or pervy, or you feel uncomfortable with them, it's acceptable to ghost them. No one is obligated to make someone feel better by giving an explanation why they've cut them off.
