It sounds like 100% pure hokum, like the old 'witch' hunting. Anything that is different, less common, can so easily be singled out and challenged and attacked. But of course there is no logic to it at all.

Sounds stupid. I never heard that, but left handed people were treated terribly throughout most of history, it hasn't been that long since that stopped so there's probably still some idiots who associate left handedness with Satan or something.
That's way off - left handed people are born legends - Imagine they were so afraid of our greatness they had to label us as devils and people who won't find worthy partners
