If he is insecure when he knows she deserves better, he’s certainly right to be and I’m sure plenty of guys are insecure in that way. But I can’t agree with the statement because that’s definitely not the ONLY time he could be insecure.

People are insecure for all sorts of reasons, including many which don’t even make sense.

Also, he might be well aware that she deserves better and isn’t the least bit insecure because her personality is such that she won’t leave him no matter how horrible he his.

Many men are certainly more likely to be insecure if they feel that their partner is a prize for which they are not worthy, but there are many other reasons why men might feel insecure.

Love can be defined as "a bond between 2 sexes that keeps them together despite the easy availability of better mating material". The truth is most women could easily leave him for better catch. If guys constantly worry we're going to leave the second we meet a guy with more money or a better body etc it becomes a stress on the relationship

This isn't true. I've met woman who dated guys more attractive than them and still cheated on them or tried to cheat on them with other guys. I've also heard of guys cheating on girls who were out of their league to begin with.

Incorrect. I think a man is insecure with a woman when she's not clear with him on what she really wants and he can tell.

But ultimately, I keep wondering why there's so much excess focus on insecure men. And when will we begin deleting the narcissistic philosophies of a woman deserving better? Maybe she actually needs to improve herself before she can have better.

I think doesn't matter guy or girl, if we like our date and doesn't want to lose the person, then we will feel insecure.

In fact I witnessed married Christian's (not suppose to divorce) also feeling insecure after marriage!

So it's more than just a like or love, it's the fear to lose.

Well maybe sometimes.. A man might also feel insecure because he simply may think this partner is too good for him.. Or maybe because of his own issues and nothin specifically to do with her..

I feel like a man could know exactly what he wanted, knew he could get it but could still be insecure about whether he would be able to commit for long-term- because he knows that's what would be required of him for the intensity of how he views such a serious life partner and he knows he loves his single life.

I don't. Because the reason most of us feel insecure is a fear of not being as good as we think we are. For example i had a date at a fancy restaurant she did not expect a fancy dinner. Even though she liked it i made a mistake and i wasn't the smooth 007 kind of guy. And this is what we fear to fail our own expectations about ourselves.

A man is insecure when he has a low self worth (as is a woman). So they'd be prone to thinking the person they're with can do better. So it's a chicken/egg thing and I think the insecurity comes first.

No. He could just be naturally insecure. Or she could be flighty. Or he has had bad experiences in the past and is projecting. There could be a slew of reasons besides the one in the question.

It could be one reason. But it's definitely not the only reason. He could be insecure because he just is; guys can be shy too. He could be insecure because he doesn't know what she wants. And a bunch of other reason.
