It depends completely on how she treats herself. If there is any scope to improvise certain things... I would try my best to see my girl grow well in life and would try my best in the implementation of such changes.
On the other hand...
If in case she has it all and I feel laid back, I will treat her as a mentor/my guardian and will try to learn along.
Relationships are not just about loving and loving each other. It's more like two people must grow when they are together in life. Even if one of them isn't, things go wrong.

We treat other people as we were taught in childhood, by observation or active participation in some activities. In extreme cases, traumatic experiences in adulthood may also have some influence...
To change those printed in our minds behaviors, self-awareness, deep retrospection, and hard work are needed20 Reply
If a woman doesn't respect herself and doesn't have boundaries then the man will treat her the same way but when a woman knows her worth that she is more than her attractive appearance and value herself as a person she will never settle easily and when she does she will choose a man who treats her with love and respect

+1 yI cannot agree fully.
Some poeple have a distorted self understanding.
Example: a "Karen" treats herself as the most important person on the planet. My own response will be found somewhere on the opposite side :)
I'd rather say that I treat 'women' according to the way I perceive them myself.50 Reply 1.5K opinions shared on Relationships topic. A man will treat a woman as well as she allows him to treat her, in my experience. If I start to do something very generous -- not necessarily in terms of money, but something 90% of guys would never do -- and she says, 'Oh no, I don't feel comfortable having you do that', then that's the extent of my range, at least in that particular aspect of the relationship.
However, if I repeatedly demonstrate my willingness to perform numerous tasks, chores and provide the kind of luxuries that she hasn't received from the other men she's dated, and she makes no attempt to discourage me from doing so, that's a home run for me.
00 ReplyIt's true, toxic people are attracted to people who hate themselves, lack self-respect and who lack boundaries. The confident, self-respecting, self-caring, healthy boundary setting, confident person is a toxic persons nightmare because they pick up on toxicity fast and deal with it in a healthy non-violent way, the toxic person's manipulation and abuse tactics just don't work on them, so the toxic person feels so defeated!. wooomp wooomp!

+1 yIt can be true for BOTH genders if someone has low self esteem. People look to be abused and/or abandoned to subconsciously fulfill childhood trauma issues. It’s really sad and f*cked up how human nature works on this.
But sometimes people are going through bad phases in their life yet have potential to be much more. And not everybody is so quick to judge.

+1 yI don't agree with that at all. There is no correlation in my opinion. A man will treat a woman as well as he respects her and depending on what his character is like. If he's a shitty guy, it doesn't matter how the girl treats herself. He'll treat her like shit. If he's a decent guy, he'll always treat a girl with respect as long as she respects him. There are some simps that will treat a girl like a goddess even if they treat him like shit.
10 Reply 689 opinions shared on Relationships topic. Absolutely true. If she clearly has no respect for herself, a guy can see that and knows he can treat her like garbage, because she will accept it. It's the reason why these women choose crappy men. Deep down they want a man who will degrade them because they really have no love for their own selves.

+1 yI think that’s true regardless of gender. In life you don’t always get what you want, but I’ve discovered you do get what you expect.
If you have low self esteem and expect all people to be untrustworthy or to treat you badly, then that tends to be the result, whether you’re a man or a woman.
10 Reply No at all, sounds kind of silly to be honest. A man can still be infatuated with a woman even if she deals with depression issues or low self esteem. On the other hand just because a woman tells herself she is a "queen" and goes around expecting the world to kiss her feet and has inflated sense of self worth, it's beyond delusional to think men will think the same
30 ReplyHow you 'advertise' yourself to men is important because it (even implicitly) sets expectations and relationships dynamics. For example, if your only dating profile is on Tinder with bikini pics then people will assume you're looking for a hookup. If your only dating profile is on Hinge with less risque pictures, then people will assume you're looking for a long term relationship. Basically, 'advertise' yourself in a way to attract the type of men that you want.

20 ReplyI have told my wife this and my three Daughters this every day. Basically we all train people how to treat us by what we accept. You let a motherfucker jerk you and they will. Every single time.
20 Reply454 opinions shared on Relationships topic. Nope, its not true. My wife gets down on herself and I won’t have that much less feed into it.
20 Reply344 opinions shared on Relationships topic. I disagree. I think it'd be more appropriate to say: A guy will treat a woman how he wants her to treat him
30 Reply11.3K opinions shared on Relationships topic. No it’s not true because some women are insecure about themselves

A man's treatment of you often depends on the boundaries you set. While self-respect is valuable, confidence won't shield you from disrespectful behavior. Recognizing your worth empowers you to walk away, but it's crucial to acknowledge that his actions are influenced by his upbringing, character, and how he treats others.
A man will treat you how he treats others but in my honest opinion he treats you how he feels about himself. I know from experience… and some men may still treat their mom with respect but not the women he deals with… a lot of times men who treat you bad are very insecure themselves.
I don’t think it’s true but boundaries can definitely play a role. If your harsh on yourself you might accept that kind of behavior from others
