Guys, Do you want a woman who need your protection, or a woman who does not?

If anyone here has seen my previous question, they know I would pick the latter. And my friend's sister Wolf, who I'm trying to date, will NOT need me as a man to protect her. Wolf is physically stronger than me, and has been taught how to fight and use a knife by her mom. It also helps that she's 5'10 and a half.

And before I get any comments, yes, I know women are not as strong or athletic as men. I also know that a lot of men like to feel like a woman's protector. Men need to be needed; nothing wrong with that. But I wanna ask the guys here.

Would you rather date a woman who physically needed your protection, or a physically strong and capable woman who doesn't need your help?

(I'm also including fighting skill and expertise with weaponry when I say "capable")

Maybe I'd change my mind if I lived in an apocalyptic world in which it was a constant fight for survival, but I'd choose the former, for no reason other than I find it more feminine and attractive. Not even because I have some cliché fantasy of saving a "damsel in distress". I just don't like masculine women. That's all there is to it.

Sure, as a traditional man it's my role/duty to protect my woman. A woman who doesn't want or need that wouldn't be a traditional woman. Why would a traditional man be with a non-traditional woman? It's like putting rotten apples in an apple pie.

I also don't find women with the muscle build of a man to be attractive. Yes, some muscle can be attractive but too much and she just looks like a dude to me.

I'd say somewhere in between for me. If she doesn't need your protection and especially if you need hers, she may lose respect for you and even start abusing you---and if you live in the West you are well aware that men reporting abusive girlfriends/wives to the authorities are not taken seriously. But in 2021 do you really need a dainty, helpless woman who has no initiative or imagination of her own? Therefore I say, I'd choose a woman who's part of the happy medium in between.

I would prefer if she was capable of defending herself, just in the off chance I may not be around and something happens, I at least know she can take care of herself to a degree.

If we are together though, I will be doing the fighting.

It's a non consideration for me since combat is a pretty rare happening in my life. But I'd enjoy dating someone who I could go shooting or practice martial arts with, that would be fun.
