Guys, you see a girl being verbally abused in public by her aggressive boyfriend, do you step in and try to stop him? You see a girl improperly lifting weights, do you step in and try to help/correct her form? A dog runs out of nowhere in the park and starts going after a girl, do you try to wrangle it away....etc
No. People are responsible for their own choices in life. If you picked a bad partner that is on you. I'll call the police. That is their job not mine. I'm not going to put my life on the line because you made mistakes and I dont even know u. If their is a dog problem I call the correct people to handle it. If you're lifting wrong that is not my responsibility to tell you and train you.

I would step in if there is imminent danger or current violence, but if it's just people arguing, I'd probably let it go. Too many women are way too quick to attack or "report" people trying to help them - that's the sad reality.
What Guys Said
Not unless it looks like there's about to be some kind of physical violence.
Well. This depends. I think some men who are white knights are pathetic. But there IS times where stepping is is warranted. Such as like you said someone is being verbally abusive or someone is in immediate danger of bodily harm.
I don’t feel like I need to save women in general… they’re grown adults.
At times, I do feel like that and it's probably because I have been an officer for over 20 years and I love helping women.
This is not a simple answer. Yes we do feel compelled to. But a guy learns to be discerning about it when they learn the nature of today's woman. Yes, by all means protect women. But remember to protect yourself first fellas.
I will step in and do the best I can. If it turns to violence, someone is going to end up in the hospital because I will not stop.
Its instilled in me to protect women.
I feel that for anyone
