I've actually liked women who were taller, and women who were shorter. Height really isn't an issue, unless they're tiny (5'1 or below), or they're really big (6'4 or above).
I'm under 5'9, so I'm considered on the shorter side of average height. I know a lot of women who are either my height or taller. Which means I get overlooked (no pun intended, but I'll take it). I even get overlooked by women who are slightly shorter than me because many would (and have) whined that they can't wear (4 inch) heels and still feel more "feminine" and "protected" (Which is crap). So apparently, it's going to be that my best bet is anyone under 5'3, which is not too common where I live.
I dated a petite girl, and it was fine (5'5, maybe?). It had little to do with those "shorter" aspects, but it was nice because she was a good height for cuddling. I think some girls I've dated have been right around my height, or slightly smaller. Many women I've been interested in have been taller, though. I can't be too picky about height.
Yes, I find shorter people really cute but it does have to do with personality too! I know some short girls in my life that I actively avoided speaking to and when we needed to speak we didn't get along because they were so spiteful.
So I will definitely say that I find shortness in girls cute, while I do like long legs as well and will compliment them on it, I still believe personality comes down to it.
The attraction to the shortness I think is because it makes them look so adorable, especially when they get angry about their height and finally say they are 5'2 tall and you are 6'1 so you can't even class their claim as tall XD
My attraction to tall people must be entirely the legs I guess, I find long legs to be a very attractive thing, yet it has no attribute to their personality, I can say there are plenty of girls who have long legs and many of which I have not been interested in or even second glanced, it still comes down to their personality :)
I prefer taller but I think that is impart to do with spending nine year with someone who is 6'8" while I'm 5'8" so I'm automatically drawn to taller men now
I’m short and I never find taller people attractive. Maybe if their a little taller but most of the time I prefer near my height or shorter for relationships
I prefer women who are the same height as me or taller, so 6' or taller. Maybe because that is such a rare thing, typically it isn't something I care too much about though. Really tall women are rare, and more often than not have confidence issues because of that. Really short women can be... uncomfortable to have sex with.
They are more, well, shallow for lack of any better word, and I don't mean their personality. If I just push all the way in, there's typically some spotting, and I'm not huge or anything. So, most every woman I've been with has been shorter than me, but if they're too short, I'm not interested. If they're taller than me or as tall, I'm extremely interested.
Really you have to define what you consider tall or short as that makes a big difference. Really short to me is under 5' Otherwise it's just taller than me or shorter than me.
I find short women (167 cm/5'6" and under) less attractive because I myself am short and hate the ideal of settling for someone I don't find very attractive, but have a "higher chance" of success with. I find tall women (175 cm/5'9" and up) attractive, but they find me the least attractive because in heels, they're likely going to be taller than me.
I'm only 181 cm, but my ideal girl would be 179 to 195 cm, with 191 being "just right" for me. If I have to be the short one, at least one of us should be tall!
I seem to like the extremities but I'm short by Western standards at 173cm. I think super tall people are interesting along with super short. With that said, I mostly dated women around my height -- the tallest was just a few centimeters taller me and the shortest was only 10cm shorter. That just seemed to easiest to click with but I liked super tall girls a lot and also super short ones. I liked to pick up my super shorts female friends a lot. They were very easy to lift but I never got to date any of them. Then for super tall ones like 2+ meters, I got kinda shy trying to ask them out when they were hovering over me.
You're below average for North American standards, the avg is approximately 5'9 or 1.75m in both Canada and the United States (give or take a cm or fractions of an inch to be precise).
@bingbongbangbung In the US I felt so far below average but maybe because I just notice the extreme types hovering over me, including women. In Japan we have a few people over 6+ feet (182+cm tall) but they are so rare in comparison.
yeah, i think it's probably because younger people overall are taller than older folks so it gives the impression you're much shorter when you're just below average.
I won't date anyone shorter than 4'11 or 1.52m cause it feels and looks like babysitting a child, while at most I'd probably date someone who's up to 6'2 or 1.85m (I'm about 5'10 or 1.77m tall). My preference is actually people that are somewhat shorter than me, so like 5'4 to 5'7 or 1.63m to 1.7m, although if I had to choose by the way a short or tall woman and they were equal in all but height, I'd go for taller one. But that's only for long term serious relationships, for casual hookups or whatever, I'd go for 4'9 or 1.45m for shortest and 6'4 or 1.92m for tallest. My ideal height for a partner is probably either 5'6 or 1.67m.
I like petite girls yeah. I'd have to admit that women who are taller than the female average are less attractive to me. Maybe because I'm not the tallest guy around myself, being just under 6 feet, but I do put weight on the guy being taller and girl shorter.
I don't care much about height. I am okay dating anyone who is taller than 4' 8. I am also okay dating girls who are taller than me (im 5' 11) if the girl is comfortable with dating a guy who is shorter. I have a very slight preference for taller girls but almost every other quality comes before it.
i like women that are shorter then me im 6 feet 1 o came across a woman that is a casher i was checking out some items and she was 6 feet 7 and i felt so uncomfortable talking to her i couldn't wait to leave i felt like i was so small lol she was nice as pie but i just felt uncomfortable
I'm 6 foot I do like smaller women for a lot of different reasons they are feisty in some ways very quiet in other ways can be a stick of dynamite if they need to be but there's just something that's more comfortable and cool about a smaller woman
I prefer tall but don't mind short! I am 5'2.5" and I am currently talking with a guy who is just an inch taller. It's not a big deal unless you make a big deal out of it.
Well I am 6'3 barefoot. So just about everybody smaller than me, so yeah I do find short girls attractive. I think the shortest girl I've ever dated was 5'1? I was back in high school though
At 6', most girls are shorter than me, but I've dated girls ranging from 5'2 to 5'11, and been attracted to girls both shorter and taker than that. Height doesn't play into it over much.
I find tall women super gorgeous and they always catch my eyes , this doesn't mean I find short girls ugly but taller girls are more attractive for me.
Do shorter guys make you feel more insecure/less feminine about your height? Or is it just a matter of practicality? When you're both tall, kissing and eye contact is easier.
