Unfortunately, a large bulk of people believe in the “Disney Fantasy.” That eventually someone will come to them and there will be a happily ever after. They believe it is guaranteed that they will find some when it is not. The reality is that if they are afraid to try and approach people then they will most likely remain single. Dating/relationships are about probability and compromise. If you don’t extend effort towards trying to meet people then your odds of finding someone drops. If you’re unwilling to compromise with the people that approach you then your odds drop even lower.

Most cases, they may drop hints, and as soon as that other person whom they have an interest starts talking to them; they then may start to open up over time. It may take anywhere from 3 months to a year before they are fully comfortable, and let them know just how much they want them.

This is based on what I have observed over the years in people I have been around, and spoken. Everyone who is like this is different how they approach letting the person of interest know their interest.

I have no idea. I know as i got older it became harder and harder for me to talk to women, because, and you won't like to hear this, most men, even very attractive ones, face rejection about 90% of the time. I got lucky with my wife, It was a combination of an amazing concert coupled with horrible weather and me giving her my bed when her parents and i both felt she should not head home that night if it meant traveling for 4 hours during horrible snow.

You need three things to succeed online - you must be 6' tall or more, you must look like a male model, and you must, above all, have a lot of money or at least give the impression you do.
