I am a teacher, and here in South Korea, there's only three types of foriegners: teachers, college students, and military. I would date a Korean or foriegner, but I have slightly better odds (although 0.5% is hardly better than 0.25%) with women who are foriegners than local women. And most of them are going to be teachers.

I don't see why anyone wouldn't date a teacher, though. Is there some unknown stigma I'm unaware of? Like, I get why some people wouldn't date cops or military personnel, but why teachers?

Probably not, a lot of people are teachers because they went to college straight out of highschool for it and I Don't like people with no life experience. A lot of those types think they're smarter than they are and I can't stand the ego that usually goes with that.

I wouldn't write someone off for being a teacher, I just wouldn't expect to be interested in them romantically.

I would have. When I was in my senior year, I asked my professor out to dinner. She said that she was flattered, but her policy was to never date her students or meet with them outside of office hours. I had to respected that then, and I still do.

I dated a teacher before (Not my teacher) it was when I was 38 and she was 42.
It was fine.
They do have a stressful job so be prepared to listen to her vent about her frustrating day.
Otherwise she was lots of fun.

It would suck not being able to take holidays outside of end of term but thats what i'm going to face with my kids in a few years anyway. I've known teachers and ex teachers, they are good people

Many of my relatives including my sister have been teachers. Teaching is an honorable profession. I would most definitely date a teacher.
