no its not a bad thing. your still very young considering average human lifesoan is between 80 and 100 years now, at 16 your barely past the 1/8th mark. though it really still would not be a bad thing, i would be a little more concerned if you were in your 30s or later and same question. worrying about thus at 16 is something like worrying about driving your 1st car when your 3 or 4.

I had mine at age 21. Like everyone has said, don't rush into it. I always wanted mine to be meaningful and with someone I really liked. And I did. So I don't have any regrets about it.
