In my opinion, it's definitely a luck factor because no matter how much attractive, humble, caring, adventurous, fun, mature, responsible, honest or reliable you become, it's not guarenteed that you'll find someone who will love you and stay with you forever.

I've seen so many great marriage material people get abused, cheated on and taken advantage of.

What's the point to modify yourself for something that you don't even know will happen or not?

Isn't love about being loved for BEING THE REAL YOU?

You can work on those flaws that may hurt your bond.
But apart from it why do you need to change yourself?

I played Poker the same way and although I never had this type of graph (I did, however, turn a $25 deposit into over $8,000), you make your own luck in volume as I see it. If you're the type to get so discouraged and flustered when your pocket aces lose to pocket kings (something which happens about 1/5th of the time), you suck. Get better.

Every day I ask you if you maximize your odds of meeting a great husband/wife or something. And chances are that you will say "no. You could have spent this time on GaG meeting new people, or the time after work doing the same. I throw you into one of my fucking parties and you're gonna meet people. You're at least going to make friends if not a date. I take you and I know I can do it. You just need to be willing to gamble. There's gonna be some wins and losses. Not everyone is going to like you. Not every boyfriend is going to stay. Maybe we can't control our luck but we can control what we do, and if I have a say in way you do, I'm getting you a guy.

When you think about it, everything in life is a chance. So i think its the same with partners and true love. You either make some choices that get you with the right person at the right time, or you dont. Luck factor is always present in my opinion.
