Should I distance myself? Or end the friendship?

So I have this guy friend I met online about a year ago. Full discretion: there’s nothing between us, we live in different states and just gaming buddies. Anyway, he recently got a girlfriend, his first one ever so he’s trying not to screw it up, and I think that’s great. But it’s made any encounter with him just super awkward and strange. For starters, he tells her every time we are getting online, then she joins the party and starts talking about whatever. She doesn’t have the game we play, so she’ll play something else and like narrate all her moves, shouting and venting, meanwhile him and I can’t communicate well to get the missions done because his attention is torn. She’ll reminisce on meeting his family and just all sorts of random things. It’s even worse when she’s actually at his house because she demands his attention, even doing stuff like lick his face or nose. I’m just at the point where I feel sick of it. I’m no threat to her at all and yet she behave like I am and it’s annoying. So what should I do? I’ve considered talking to him about it but he’s so happy with her, I don’t want to do anything to make him feel like he has to choose.

Thanks for your responses guys. I’ve decided that I’m going to distance myself, and if he asks to get online I’ll insist that other people need to be in the party, not just him and his girlfriend.
