Guys, Men, specifically, what are the things you look for in a woman when it comes to a relationship? What are your needs in a relationship?

I think these days, many people are into not dating, or casual dating. I think many people are running from commitment. (Not debating this, just an observation) I think often, men are emotionally dependent and are finding it to be more effort or not necessary to be in a relationship. What is it that you look for in a woman specifically? What is or are the qualities in a woman that specifically make you want to commit? What needs of yours do you look to be met by a woman in your life? Any specifics or insight from you or your experience is appreciated. Just been thinking on this. :)

all the stuff around honesty and faitfulness

someone i find physically attractive enough for me to get hard for them

sexually compatible. meaning enough aligned kinks, close levels of sex drive, and physically and mentally cappable to share and perform these things.

someone i can come home to and converse with

someone who i can trust to be vunerable around

someone who i can go to with little things like popping a pimple on my back or massage my feet and me do the same types of little things for her.

someone who has some real brains and common sense

her having the ability and activity level to at least help maintane the home. cleaning, maybe cook at least a few things, screw in a light bulb, squish a bug, not afraid of her own shadow.

sime capacity to truly take care of herself such as bring in some finances, defend herself to some degree, some street smarts (a not fully sheltered life)

For me personally, I just want a girl that only focuses on one guy at a time, not others. I went through a lot for a girl that had a boyfriend but treated her bad and yelled at her in front of his friends and making fun of her. Long story short, I started having feelings for her and gave her a birthday gift that she really liked. I wanted to hang out with her, she didn’t want to. I got mad for a little moment and she noticed. She got mad and never talked to me since. I wanted to fix things with her but she never did. We were both in college but never dating, just friends. Now I’m blocked on her social media so I just decided to only talk to single women and not those that are dating other guys looking for their “boyfriend”.

I look at her values and character. I want a partner I can respect and this relates to qualities like modesty, humility, and maturity. It takes a bit of observation but these values can be indicated through things like how she dresses or acts towards other people.


For a relationship, I’d be really low maintenance in terms of needs. Needs would probably just be commitment, space, and mutual shared interest.
