Neither of us are texters and I'm leaving the country for a month, am I going to lose him?

I met a guy a few months ago and we seem to have something going on, there have been hints of more than friendship, but nothing for certain, and it's quite new and fragile.

Like I mentioned in the title, we don't talk online, other than to make some small comments here and there (we both prefer real life communication), and I'm leaving the country soon for a month. He's busy and out of town until I leave (that's not an excuse on his part, we literally went through his calendar together and he doesn't have a single day off until I leave), so I have no idea when I'll see him again.

I'm very scared about the month away, since we'll probably hardly say a word to each other and I don't want him to forget about me and not want to see me once I'm back, even though it feels like this isn't something to be forgotten so easily.

Essentially, since I won't be seeing him for a month and probably not talking to him, should I just prepare myself to lose him?

Instead of texting, why not send each other a real e-mail. Sit and compose it and think about all the things you want to say. Talk about what is going on in your life and how you are feeling. If you miss him don't be afraid to put that in as well.

Oh, I haven't even considered that! I think it still falls under online communication that we don't do much of, but it definitely sounds better than texting, so I might give it a try! I wish I could send him an actual physical letter, but he hardly stays in one place for very long, so he'd probably not get it in a timely manner...
