It depends on why she lost the job. If it's something like a bad economy, company going bust, etc., than it isn't an issue, try to find another job. But if she was fired, then it would be time for a serious talk about workplace behavior.

I would try to help the situation by helping him find a job and a side hustle so that if he ever lost his job again he doesn't have to worry too much because he has a second income from the side hustle.

This actually happened at the start of our relationship. I didn’t treat him any differently. I just let him know it would all be ok and supported him in his job seeking. He’s fully employed now :)
