Is teaching a girl to drive a stick shift a date?

There's this girl who's a good friend of mine for many years. She asked me if I can teach her to drive a standard transmission. So I'm going to in a few days after work. Would this be considered a date? I inevitably see myself holding her hand to help her shift gears. We're going to drive on some off roads and vacant parking lots.

It was actually a lot of fun. She killed my car tons of times and we just kept trying. Never seen her laugh so much in the years I've known her. We also got some food. She told me later she had a great evening and wants to do more things together.

So I think that answered my question.

Nope, it's called free driving lessons. But when a woman uses a man to get free stuff, it's only possible because he's thinking with the wrong head. In fact, giving her those lessons demonstrates that you do not value your time, and attention. It also shows her that you will do something for her just because she is female.
