How quickly do you fall for someone?

Question

My friend introduced me to a really nice guy. She knows he's moving here for his new job. She remembered when I was in my past relationship that is he ever had the chance to date me he would. She told me and asked if she could give him my number. He messaged me immediately. Now we talk everyday. I told myself I wasn't going to catch feelings, but I am and telling myself slow down. I don't want to move to fast, but I also don't want to miss out on a great man. He checks of almost everything I look for in a man. I am recently out of relationship. What would you do?

I don't know what I'd do. I've never been 'in love" with a man, before! Only women.
When I met my 1st, it was exactly like when Davy Jones fell in love on, "The Monkees"! I was walking to their house with her hubby annd she and their 2 year old dauughter were sitting on the front porch. I was invited up for dinner and then we were going to a 3 Stooges film festival. We got about 100' away from the porch and I looked at her and she looked at me and I SWEAR her eyes sparkled just like on t. v.!! As she was married to my new friend, I never made a play for her but she started hitting on me almost immediately! Playing footsie under the dinner table, making SURE she sat beside me at the theatre, rubbing my leg with hers as we sat beside each other, etc..
I met girlfriend 2 about a year before that, a year AFTER I joined the band.. She was going steady with my guitarist but she & I ht it off right away and became very close friends! 2 years later, he left her for a VERY stupid reason and she ended up breaking her foot a few days later and asked me to stay with her because she was scared of the crutches. After two wees, we were an item!
I met girlfriend 3 twice and both times, completely by accident! My new guitarist's girlfriend (one daughter of the bass player for Tommy James & The Shondells) knew some band from New Orleans that was gonna be playing here, soon. They don't have a drummer, they just pick one up wherever they play. As they are an improvisational jazz rock band, the drummer can just do whatever works! Angel kept trying to talk me into playing for them and I kept refusing because I prefer to play stuff where I already know what I'm doing. Finally, after several weeks, she talked me into it. I went, the gig sucked, no matter how quietly I played, they complained that I was too loud!! (I never thought to try playing with a pair of Kleenex!) Their singer made these huge hats that she sold at their gigs and, while I was waiting for the headliner to finish playing their set so we could leave, I sat in the front of the room, as far from the stage as I could get, and wore 2 or 3 of her hats at the same time. (One looked like the hat on The Cat In The Hat.) Suddenly, the room filled up with people (whereas we only had about a dozen) and these two girls showed up and were standing right in front of me. I was sitting on a chair because I didn't care about watching the other band. One of the two, had very long black hair and bangs, and, because of her darker skin, and the blacklights in the room, when she smiled at me, her eyes and teeth lit up the entire room!! Once she saw me sitting there, she apologized for blocking my view of the band ad I just said something like, "That's okay, I'm not watching them, anyway." Moments later, she started talking to me! (She told me a few months later that my reaction to her standing in front of me turned her on.) She's from India. The girl she was with, a gorgeous, slightly chubby but very sexy blonde with long braids, was from Poland and was a psychologist! SHE'S the one I wanted!! But, she was also a lezzie (with a 5 year old daughter!) and was actually jealous of me because I was starting to take her new potential girlfriend (the Indian chick) away from her!! Months later, the Indian told me that part of the reason she started talking to me was BECAUSE she knew the blonde wanted to get into her pants and she doesn't swing that way!

I have been on this site for 5 months or so. I see people use the expression "catch feelings" like it is like catching the flu or maybe Covid. What's up with that?
Anyway. I fall in love really too fast for my own good. Before I know it I am thinking about names for our future offspring and planning on buying a house.

I think you should keep talking to him, but go at your own pace, don’t be too quickly to have sex with him. Don’t let Him be a rebound situation. Focus on getting over your last relationship
