There are a couple of things going in here.

First, young men are increasingly disenfranchised and checking out of society. I'm not just talking about MGTOWs here, but young men in general. The path men have followed for many decades is no longer a rewarding one for men. No longer worth the price of admission.

Secondly, if you read all the articles out there about the "shortage of good men", every one of them measures a man's value by how much money he earns. Sometimes that is an overt message and others times it's a little more subtle (e. g., "a shortage of economically viable men"). But the interesting thing is that those same women complaining about the shortage of good men are also complaining about the gender wage gap and how men earn so much more than women. Do you see the issue here, and what it says about today's women? And is it any wonder why young men are disenfranchised today?

What I see is that women's standards are simply put cosmic. Most of them voted, that there is a shortage of "good men".
Grrr. I hate gold diggers!
It's no wonder why prostitution always worked, always works and always will work.

I think I could just be looking in the wrong places. When I look outside of my circles there’s loads of good single guys. The other issue at my age is baby mommas there’s a great single guy but then there’s his ex. Baby mums take up a lot more of the dads time etc then baby dads do so ye then they always have an attachment to her too so there’s you 2 then her who can influence you 2 as well I can’t be doing with all that

Yes there is unfortunately. It goes the other way around too though - there is a shortage of good women for men to date as well. So you could say there is a general shortage of good people to date.
