Both genders have their issues with dating because society has set such unrealistic standards towards what an ideal partner should be. Along with people competing and comparing themselves to other peoples relationships.

Personally I don't complain anymore. Yes, I used to when I was young, stupid, and desperate for a relationship. But I'm old enough to realize complaining about the other gender serves no purpose. The most likely background to the woman is probably due to the fact that there must be trauma with men involved. Me personally, I think daily on how much men have damaged me completely. Even if a nice one comes along, there is always an ick where you can't help but feel that they aren't right for you. The perfect man doesn't exist or woman. Watching men preform the bare minimum or worse making the woman attached only for them to leave is traumatizing if you ask me. It develops a load of trust issues at a young age leaving the word love a mystery.

They’re just trying to date the way they are used to dating. A lot of women think that men doing all the chasing is just how things are supposed to work and they want. I’m dealing with something similar with my girl; she hasn’t gotten the memo that dating in your 30s isn’t like dating in your 20s.

She wants our dynamic to be one where she’s being pursued/sought after, while she keeps our relationship on her terms as she makes up her mind. While I don’t have a problem with her taking her time, she just needs to understand that she is on the clock right now, not me, and that means that she is more invested in the decision than I am.
