The law in many places including some US states says it is okay. People seem to not know that... Personally I think it depends on the people. Some 16 year olds are very mature and not every guy is trying to get into a girls pants. Some 24 year olds aren't that different in maturity and life experience than a 16 year old. Some people will say that the 24 year old is weird or a pedo but a pedo is a child lover not a teen lover. Teens are post puberty. Men are lying if they say they aren't attracted to a well developed 16 year old. We all have seen older men staring.

of course, I don't see any problems, as long as he is respectful and loyal, and has serious intentions. I mean, girls at this age can be innocent and hopeful that it will last forever, sometimes they still don't understand how relationships and people work. if he is honest and true, I don't see any problems.

No it's not okay. Because it doesn't matter if the girl finds the man attractive he still dating a minor which can also lead to him being a pedophile or a rapist. You should only date anyone within your age, or you could just go to the next level and pray to God that he is not good looking for prison and as a convicted sex offender regardless if sex is not even involved.

Also there is a significant developmental difference between a 16 year old girl and a 24 year old boy. He might catch up to her level of maturity by 30 if he is one of those smart guys.

16 here is legal, and i agree that this would be alright. In fact i've my babysitter when i was younger in fact was 16 and with a 24 year old guy or maybe 22? either way still that age-ish and they married and still are today.

To say a 16 year old cannot be capable of been with a boyfriend older than her is absurd in my mind.

No it's not I tell you why see dear age gaps doesn't matter but what important her is understanding the relationship. people date to find life partner who can spend whole life with each other. you need to grow up understanding how good relationships works. it's important for you grow up so you can learn some life lessons. so my advice is that you should be only dating after 18+

Where I live a 16 year old can legally date a 24 year old however do I think it is ok absolutely not a 16 year old is still a child where a 24 year old is an adult

you also have to remember if you live somewhere like in America if a 24 year old dates a 16 year old they would be arrested an charged and very likely be sent to prison for years

Its fine. Just dont have casual sex. If he sees you for a period of time with no sex then he probably is actually into you and thats good. Dont think he loves you after a week or two because if he runs off that means he just wanted sex and you will be heartbroken and used.

I worked with a girl who was 16 the guy she fancied was 26. Of course her parents didn't approve. They ran off together.
Fast forward 7 years. Later she has three kids with him and finds out he's a child molester.

I'm not saying this is every older guy. I'm just saying the signs were their if she hadn't been lovestruck by an older man. People tend to date their own age. When an older person dates younger a lot of times it's to gain an advantage over them.
