I live in Ohio and the age of consent is 16. And we went to high school together. I was a freshman (14) while he was a senior (17). He is now a sophomore in college and I'm a junior in high school. Would it be weird if we started dating.
Well, in the grand scheme of things, the age difference isn't too bad... BUT... you really need to take into consideration what your parents think. Also, how do you relate to this guy? He's a bit more mature... so consider that.

I don't care what the age of consent is. “It’s legal” is typically the last gambit of someone who is doing something morally wrong. He's a predator in my book.
are you going to have sex with him? i would think you need to discuss this with your parents... also ask them if you can have sex with him or not because he could want that soon as your 1st date... and your parents should know this

Most age of consent laws are for people one or two years older than the underage individual. So if you want to date him you probably shouldn't have sex with him. Unless you want to risk him going to jail for statutory rape.
