She could, but generally female virgins will always wait for the attachment first, and that is the problem I think, mostly because they use sex as an instrument to "show" the guy that she is vulnerable to him, not realizing the guy would say anything to get laid (a lot of the time, obviously not always) so if you lose your virginity in a platonic way it is safer from a mental health point of view. People attach too much meaning to virginity, which is just a made up concept and doesn't actually mean anything but religion has made it a virtue, well what happens when that virtue is gone and you are left broken? Sure women are strong and rebuild but to rebuild your identity based on a false pretense of virtue is sad and unnecessary. Reality is most people lose their virginity between 14-16 and almost no one stays with the first person they were with.

I'm basically saying girls should have sex because they are horny and want to fuck, not to make a guy think you are willing to "give yourself" to him. That is actually so weird when you think about it. Don' give yourself, get it. It being sex. And only get it if you want it. And don't want it as a stepping stone for something else, it should be the end goal. If you can't see sex as the end goal and only as a step to something else (usually love or vulnerability) you aren't mature enough to handle it in my opinion.
