I am 27 and I am seeing a girl who is 17 and in the 11th grade. She is homeschooled and goes to co op once a week.. Our first date is next weekend. She is not really my girlfriend yet, but we are dating.

She has never had a boyfriend or her first love before.

The moral outrage from some of the other answerers is a little disproportionate considering that much worse things than this are frequently discussed on this site. You are 27? And she’s 17? Uh… I would say that’s a big no no. She’s a minor. You will go to jail (possibly) What can a kid (yes a child) possibly offer you at that age? You are in two totally different paths of life. She still needs to figure out who she is and go to prom and be a teenage girl while you are a grown man about to be in his 30’s.

@Screenwriter When I was in college a 17 year old in my dorm was dating a 26 year old. And this in a state where 18 is and was the age. It didn't last but no harm was done and I assume they both enjoyed it while it lasted. Life is too short to worry about trivialities.

If she were 25 and you were 35, it'd be different, but a stretch. A decade is a long time. Are her parents OK with your dating her? As a parent I'd be incredibly uncomfortable.
