I have never been to clubs, and I often wonder what makes them so special. People often tell me that I'm not having any fun because all I do is focus on my career choice and I have never had a boyfriend. I am fully dedicated to my college studies, and some people have commented that I am missing out on fun because I don't participate in activities like going to clubs or engaging in typical activities that people my age usually enjoy. I’m anti-social.

They're wrong and right. Kind of.

They are wrong because telling you what fun is wrong. They are right about you potentially missing out on fun while you're young.

My advice would be to find what you think is fun and do that to have fun, if they think clubs are fun then good for them. But you might think going to the beach is fun, or a bush walk. Or playing video games. There are things you can not do when you're much older and you'll feel like you would have wanted to do them when you where younger. Go fishing. Traveling to a new town. Something that is certain, you will die. And Everytime you tell yourself that you plan to do it is time you are spending not doing it. Who cares if you make a bunch of mistakes or didn't make everyone happy because you. Me. Them. The people you didn't make happy. Are all going to die anyway and you might as well spend that time doing something fun

I've never been to a club either, and I'm older than you. What do people do in clubs? Take drugs, listen to doof-doof music that is so loud they can't hear others talk, get drunk and generally carry on like losers. You're not missing out on anything there.

Focus on your studies and get your college, worry about your career, if you are making these mature choices at 18 it's highly respectable, clubs are for dancing, drinking and possibly easy hookups, don't think that cause you aren't doing this that you aren't fun, clubs aren't for everyone and what you choose to do over clubbing is much more beneficial to you than drinking and dancing, you'll have plenty of time to have fun when you are successful and let's not forget you'll have actual freedom, don't change, you are just missing out on bullshit which let's be foreal, you are anti social, it's stuff thaf won't interest you.

I think those people are right and they're wrong.

Right in the sense that you're keeping yourself closed of to new experiences. But they're wrong in the fact they have ANY right to judge how you choose to live your life.

One day you're going to be old and you're going to look back on your life. As long as you don't regret the choices you've made it's all good.

I wasn't a club goer. But I don't regret at all the way my life has turned out. a lot of club going friends I know do regret the way thier lives have.

There's nothing wrong with what you're doing, clubs are over-rated, IME, but you should look up from your studies from time to time and find something unrelated to do with other people. Sports, hobbies, etc..
