I tried dating apps and tried liking other girls in person, but I have strong feelings for the girl that I’m interested in right now. I’ve never felt this way about anyone else before, until now. We’re great friends and see each other all the time. This feeling is new to me. There’s something I’ve been wondering. Do girls her age usually change their minds about someone older who likes them, if they didn’t like them before. Hopefully, I’m being clear about all this. I’m sure, I might have chance to be more, than friends with her down the road, when she’s ready for a relationship with someone. I’m hoping I do because she’s special to me.

9 years apart isn’t a bad age gap, so yeah that part is fine. But just know that your frames of mind may be very different when it comes to dealing with someone romantically. Usually age gap dating is better when the younger partner is at least 22+ because then you’ll have more in common. Right now she can barely do anything legally and her frame of mind when it comes to love may be a lot different than yours. So this isn’t me saying don’t pursue, but just to go into the situation knowing what to expect.

She takes online classes. Currently, she told me that she’s focusing on school and isn’t looking for a relationship right now, which I totally understand. Who knows when, or if that will even happen though, dude. One thing I’ve learned is sometimes when people say they aren’t ready for a relationship, it isn’t in general, it’s just with you.
