I have had my license since I was 16, normal age (for Ontario and BC).
However, speaking from the male side of things, I would and have absolutely dated girls who didn't have a license. And I would again. My crush/close friend actually does have a license but she didn't get it until she was 39, literally right before I had first met her. It's kinda nice to have something major that she did so late compared to me tbh because the reverse is true on everything else and I finally have something I can teach her. Plus even if she still didn't have her license it'd be so fucking miniscule compared to how awesome she is (and I know she works hard) that I'd actually feel useful to be able to drive her around everywhere. This is also specifically why I started riding bikes aside from it just being fun: You suddenly can give a girl or kids a fun little experience akin to riding a horse.
I also still have never dated a girl who also had a motorcycle license, which I've now held for almost five years.
And I've had my insurance license for almost five.
My firearms and hunting licenses for four.
I haven't renewed my fishing license in like 6 years because I don't fish nearly as much as I did as a kid for it to be even relevant anymore.
I guess I should look for someone who has all of those too?
Window would get pretty narrow.
There are places where having a car is more a necessity and others that can be nothing more than a burden (Manhattan, NY comes to mind here).
I cannot see NOT having a license being that much of a priority most intelligent women considering the reasons may be more a practical one than a lazy one.
I know I wouldn't have an issue if a girl did not have a license. If I'm dating her, I more than likely enjoy her company, I have no problem driving us around particularly since I'm not a fan of being a passenger.
There was one time I had my license suspended for 1.5 years in one state due to a clerical error in the DMV of another and the unfortunate fact that my birth name is shared with half the global population.
I live in the city where a lot transport themselves by bicycle.
A car hasn't really been something that is needed unless someone has a job further away than they are willing to go by bike, bus, or possible train.
My last boyfriend didn't have a license and it wasn't an issue. He had a job not far away from where he lived so he rode his bike.
The few times where we had borrowed his parents' car to get places for a weekend, I drove. It wasn't really an issue.
Now, this would change if we lived somewhere else where a car could be needed or if he wasn't able to transport himself.
Or if in the future we had kids or something, as it would become a problem should all the driving be on me.
Aaaanyway, so it would all depend on where you live, whether you're able to be responsible and reliable on your own transportation and where in life you are.
It's perfectly fine if a guy has no car if he can't afford it and you're in a city where there's public transportation. If not, you might be somewhat up a creek if there's no easy accessibility to uber and lyft. But that's pricey.
It would be unusual. But usually there might be a reason. Such as, he's had DUIs and can't drive. He hates driving. Grew up in a family that was against driving. Just doesn't have the money.
Might be inconvenient, is all.

Well, considering I myself don't have a license nor drive, it would be quite hypocritical of me to reject him for that. So, no I wouldn't care.
Met this girl and when we were talking she asked me did i drive, and when i said no i could see her getting put off
I'm sorry. Maybe it just seemed that way, if you see her again you should ask her. And, she was put off by it then she's not worth the time anyway because that's a silly thing to reject someone over.
You see she has a child, i understand - she has responsibilities and wants a man probally that can take care of all
of course not, there's so much to bother me, why would I care about this? unless I need someone to drive me to places for some reason such as a health problem. I would probably try to encourage him to get one, I don't think it might be very wise for a man not to have a driver's license, it is very useful, a need in life.
I'd fuck any man that's black. Black men are so sexy and gave such big cocks and fuck so good! I'm married to and gave kids with a very dark sexy black man and I'm a total black cock loving natural blonde blue eyed slutty white girl and love getting fucked in my tits ass and mouth by several black men at once while getting fucked in my pussy by my husband. There's no such thing as having too much black cock or getting fucked by too many black men
@Celtero Yeah. And notice how she didn’t even answer the question either. I almost think this is just a troll.
That would be a big inconvenience unless you're both teenagers with a Learner permit and have to have an adult...
I would see how things go first and see what happens.
I have a friend that is married to a guy that has no license and is scared to drive yet he drives a forklift at his job 😑 . I'm surprised they're still together after about a year being married and two years dating
Yeah, if you really like a person you will find a way to make things work period. I don't see it as a big deal, never judge people situations before getting to really know them. Don't be shallow.
No car or just no car license? He would need to have a car and a license! It gets over 113 ° during the summer where we live. I ain't going anywhere without going in a car!!
at this stage in my life Yes. before i didn't mind but now things are different. im not gona drive his ass around im not his mom
It's funny how things change, but you like when your boyfriend drives you around, especially when you are younger. He isn't your dad either. 🤔
My partner doesn't have a licence but can get us a taxi if I don't want to drive.
I mean i dont have one either so it's only fair 🤣 They made uber, taxi and light rail trains for a reason haha
I’ve heard it’s common in New York City for people to get their license later or not at all.
For me to have a problem with this would make me a hypocrite. there are other ways to get to and from somewhere.
I don't have a license, so can I really be mad? Lol it wouldn't bother me. I live in the city and can either get on public transportation or a rideshare
Yes and I have but where I live it's not really needed. Though the guy I'm seeing now, I'm pressuring to get his since I don't have it and I never want to drive :D
it doesn’t matter to me. Having a car/driving me around is not that important. I think that the character of the person is more important than what he has.
Guys would you go out with a girl that has no driving licence?
Absolutely, i taught my wife how to ride cars and motorbikes, now she has both licences.
Decent guys like to teach and uplift their partners.
Moving onto the small plane pilot licence next year, both of us.
Would be nice if women wouldn't be so selective, only limit themselves.
Well... yes but at some point in time I will encourage him to get it. Imagine if I'm pregnant, a car might come in useful. For starting a family.
In all honesty my husband said the same thing if he ever had an emergency. I told him I would drive you there. I'll eat the charges to save your life and most cops would understand. Just because I don't have a license doesn't mean I can't drive.
i missed the encourage, I got my permit and in 2 weeks I had my license and I'm a better driver than he is.
@DamnFoxCat That's true. In an emergency. But, why risk it? Is it not cheap/free?
If I like him then it won’t put me off but at least one person needs their license right? 😂 balance.
I had a car before and I'm trying to get a new one. It does make things difficult but I would hope people didn't say no way just because of that.
I was the youngest person in my graduating class. I did not get my drivers license until I was almost graduated. I tprobably did not help much to get girls to go out with me,
Many of my friends who are in relationships don't have a driver's license. It's probably not as much of a deal breaker in Sweden as I imagine it would be in the U. S.
My boyfriend has no car license so sure I'd go out with him. I'd like him to have a car license but it isn't the end of the world if he doesn't have it.
Who cares? Does he have manners, tact, certain softness, does he smile often? If so, don't care. Don't like no vehicles.
Yes I'd still go out with him. I don't have my driver's license yet so...
I would date someone who has no license but not date someone without a car.. it’s too much work.
You realize you have to have a license to drive that car, right?
@dudeinohio people in California drive without license and insurance all day… your comment is very silly. You should know that. Lol their response would be like, “I paid for this car.. I have keys. I’m going to drive it”.
I was with my ex before he had his license but I helped him get his license because it’s essential especially because he had kids
Doesn’t matter to me.
I drive. Although I am choosy where and when I will.
I already have deep feelings for a guy who doesn't have a car nor a home.
There are some situations where that can be overcome or it doesn't matter.
I just came in here to read about girls saying they would and get a good laugh when I know damn well pretty much all of them wouldn’t.
Before I could drive, I had a few "special event" dates where my dad drove us to the venue- no problem.
Nope. I'd think they'd lack confidence in getting a license. I have a license & think my SO should too.
If he is able to provide another form of transportation, I don't care. He can uber, or walk, or give me piggy-back-rides, or whatever.
Yes, been there done that.. so happy I live a place where a car is not that essential <3
I don’t have a license or a car due to my disability and my crush don’t care with it because my disability is not stopping her from liking me more.
As a guy imagine not dating a woman just because she doesn't have a car or a car license. 😅
Depends what the reasons are.
sure. if i am interested sure
Yeah lol Idc if you have a license or not 😂
@LivAndLearn Would you date someone with a micro penis?
That'd be highly inconvenient.
It depends on how old he is lol
I can't drive a car, so it makes no difference.
Kinda yeah but I’d be open minded
As a guy, I would not date if I couldn't drive.
@XXblack88 It’s about pride.
It would depend on why they do not have it.
Fuck no
Do you have a licence?
I would not go out with him
I feel like you’re the only one being honest.
@WhiteBoyChill I am😂.
Ok cool. So is it true that women have a tendency to lie in order to avoid offending people?
I feel like all these answers of “well if I liked the guy” aren’t genuine
@WhiteBoyChill I think some are desperate for a relationship so they lie. Then once they get sick of his issues the truth comes out
Yes, it's a turn off. Not getting around by bus!
Depends.
Car means nothing when it comes yo dating.
Sure
Not where I live rn
Nope
I wouldn't
