Its Just a tattoo. So long as it's not on their neck/face or taking up their entire chest I'm not sure why I'm supposed to care. Tattoos are just a roadmap of your life and things that matter as you grow. Ink fades. So do the people. Just cuz they make a permanent impression in a visible way on their flesh doesn't mean it's somehow more important than if they were just scarred internally from whatever made the relationship not workout. You can be twisted up about someone either way. It's just ink. Do you not date people if they have a scar from a bad car crash or self harming at some point in their life? Same thing. Its just skin. Idgaf.
I have. I dated a guy for 5 years who had his bm name tatted across his entire chest. People need to start accepting others for whom they are. I don’t want to be with anyone who has a hard time accepting that as humans we sometimes make bad choices. Doesn’t make us a bad person.
Hell of a redflag, proofs how strongly they felt at one point but then either they changed their mind or they didn't realize how little their parter cared or they drove the partner away, maybe just overbearing, maybe that tat was a failed manipulation tactic? I don't know but it's not a good sign.
Kind of proofs she's impulsive and dosent think abou the future just the now, so I'd be pretty confident I could fuck her but then I'd leave, all she's wearing on her skin is a sign saying " I make poor choices"
Just a case of changing your name to match.

I would not like it but I would give them a chance if I liked them, they deserve another chance at love after a break up.
Sure, and once the dating becomes a relationship, I would sign them up to have it removed ASAP. Neither of us needs to be reminded of an ex.
People should think first before getting their lover's name tattooed on their body. :-)
What if they don't want it removed?
Not wanting it removed means that they are still hung up on their ex and are not interested in me. Time to say BYE-BYE and find someone else.
One exception: The woman is a widow and she has the name of her late husband tattooed on her. I could probably live with that, especially if it's not in a very obvious place.
Yeah, I'd date them. Their tattoo and what they did with their body isn't my business.
They aren't dating Sara anymore.
What if you end up marrying them?
Sara needs to see a tattoo removal service

I always laugh when I see name tattoos & if they break up tattoo artist’s love it.
Hilarious!
I'd need to know the backstory. You don't just get someone's name tatted on you unless y'all were very serious at one point. So yeah, I'd have to be comfortably sure that things were done. That's one tattoo I'd never get.
No, esp. if it's visible. I dated a girl with 'Tyler' tattooed on her front below her collarbone, so that it was basically visible all the time. I would go out with her and have to stare at 'Tyler' all the time. Once bartender thought she was being clever, and after she ordered turned to me 'And Tyler, what do you want?'
I don't really know how I'd feel about that, I just know I wouldn't really like it and would probably feel a very large amount of jealousy and a little hurt. If they said that they regretted it or said that they were over their ex, I'd give them a chance. But it depends on the person I'm dating, I wouldn't be okay with anyone, I'd have to know them first, and if I knew them enough to understand how they'd feel about it I'd give them a chance again too.
Nope. I might understand if a woman had 1 tiny picture tat in a hard to notice spot... but once you get into things that cover half of a limb you're in circus freak territory. Not interested in that. Not to mention the implications of their unfinished ex business.
Nope. One of the biggest rules when getting tattoos is NEVER EVER get a tattoo of your so's name or anything to do with them. Because the relationship is destined to fail because of it. I can see a tattoo artist internally laughing every time someone asks for one. Also I bet their is several retired couples that ended up getting divorced because they tempted fate by getting one.
It would be a pretty big put off tbh, so I'd prefer not too. In fact I'd prefer to date a guy who doesn't have any ex's. I've never dated as yet. If I do, I'd want to be their first as well.
Like @EmmaMary I will give her classic answer.
No, absolutely not.
Might I add? Done. Dusted. Sorted.
If they were tatted head to toe and it was subtle it’s almost expected but if it’s like the picture the only way I would consider dating them would be if the ex passed away.
I immediately think they make poor life decisions so definitely no.
Yeah. Because it's really none of my business whose name is on a woman's arm well I'm dating her. It's also a pain in the ass to pay $1,000 to have it removed.
It would bother me a little but wouldn’t affect anything else. They can always get it removed or covered.
At my age I wouldn't for various reasons and thoughts :D
I guess it depends though, if someone was with their SO for years then you'd expect some things so I guess it depends on the length of time they were together
Yes I would. I don't get why people are so sensitive about things like this. Or maybe insecure?
Learn the difference between insecurity and having standards.
I have my bf’s name on my thigh and we are getting married soon. If we ever break up (which is unlikely), I’d either get it removed or do some modifications on it.
If she gets it removed, lmao. I think tattoos of names are stupid in the first place unless it's your childs name, can put sense behind that one. Other than that, if your body is the temple of your mind, why is there someone else's name on the wall?
I don't like tattoos, especially very large ones. But if a man I liked had one of their ex, depends on how he still feels about her. If he is still hung up on her, then probably not.
Only if that person died while they were together. In every other case that's just a proof of their stupidity so they'd have to back it up with a really good story.
Honestly I don't know how I feel about that 🤷🏻♀️
Om myyyy goooood 🤣 hell noooo. This is one of the most important rules of tattoos, do not tattoo your partner's name. Parents and children's names are fine though.
Tattoos are painful, he went through pain to permanently brand himself with her name like property. My answer is no, unless he agrees to get it removed; I'll even help him pay for it.
No, I hate tattoos on women full stop. It's like some kid scribbled with crayon all over a masterpiece painting.
he should make sure all girls he dates has same name then no issue :D
@bones_20 thanks :D still waiting on u to follow me so we can have a good chat :D
Of course!
I’m dating them, not ink on some skin.
No, I wouldn't because I wouldn't date someone with tattoos.
I hope it was over. But I'd think they're an idiot.
And it would prove my theory. Don't tattoo an ex's name on you.
If it was subtle then I guess I wouldn't mind. But if I asked him to get it removed or modified and he was hesitant about it, then that might be a red flag for me personally.
No. They may as well have a sign that says "I'm stupid", and I don't date stupid. Fucking morons and their tattoos.
Fuck no. I don't date women with tattoos in the first place, let alone an impulsive idiot who tats someone's name who ended up being their ex.
if the tattoo is on their skin, perhaps, yes... maybe
if the ex is tattooed "in their brain"... then no
I don't date women with tats period! I'm OK with some small tats in places normally covered up with her clothes, but if I can see the tat, I'm >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
I might date them, but if the relationship got really serious, and possibly led to marriage, I would ask that they have it removed.
Noooooo. Why so I can be reminded of the guy she was banging before me? Yeah that's a lovely reminder/thought isn't it? Pass, hard pass.
i would not date someone with bigger tattoos generally. and no, if someone has a name of their ex, they are not intelligent ernough to be a suitable partner for me.
Lol, if they got it covered maybe.
My dad was about to do so, but they talked him out of it at the last moment and instead wrote his mother. They also split up, so thank god someone talked to him about it 😂
Yeah, I'm a tattooist so a cover up isn't out of the question
No. My cousin did that with her boyfriend. Luckily his name was Chris, so it was easy to change it to Christ. Her name is Nisha, and he's stuck with that, because you can't change that to anything reasonable.
No, I will tell my girlfriend to remove name of her Ex, on her body
I would. They clearly made a questionable decision. But people make mistakes.
Yeah, but you have to look at it every day.
My husband has an ugly mandarin character tattoo on his back. It is what it is. Lol. 🤷🏻♀️
@Gramkabir they would have to agree to not allow that or else the relationship would not survive.
I would, tho I might want her to get that one removed if possible lol
It happens, so it wouldn't be an issue, the vast majority of us have a history, many just chose not to have it put on their body.
Sure, but a little ways in I'd ask for the story. Good way to check yknow, just in case she's a little crazy.
Umm a big no! Sorry but that's a really big turn off!
Date or be in a relationship, date yes long term relationship no unless they cover it up.
That's why I would never put a name on myself.
If you REALLY love him, you’ll change your name to his ex-lover’s name.
Just Sayin...
I wouldn’t hate the tattoo or the girlfriend for getting the tattoo but I would, for the rest of my entire life, hate anyone and everyone else who has the same name as the one on her tattoo.
If it's hidden I wouldn't mind. But I'd be concerned if it was on their face or something
I wouldn't date anyone that had a tattoo of anything on their body. Tats are a huge turn off for me.
No, because the tattoo would identify her as an idiot.
Yeah tattoos can be covered up but they'd be stupid if they thought I'd let them get my name
me: sure!
insecure: are you really really really sure?
me: ok nope :|
Inkers aren't keepers
I got WowwGirl on my left butt cheek
Or a Burger King bathroom? Ha
Never cause she was used and doesn't have any loyalty left in her to give me
I tend to think only dunderheads get a tattoo of their partner's name as a tattoo and that's a turn off lol.}
I have a tattoo of fictional character I adore much
No, and not because of the tattoo but because I think this reflects further who they are as a person and I’m not attracted to people like this.
Yes, but if it got really serious I would start talking about having it removed.
